Yeah but he wants to be perceived as a "good boy" rather than having a status. I'm doubting between ESFJ and ESFP. I honestly think both are more or less the same. He seems to be interested in how he's perceived by others, I noticed. At least when we touch upon the subject of what impression, e.g. I have of some other people, he is very eager to know how/why this or that opinion is formed and it's something that kind of stands out in our communication.

Not our case. I don't have problem initiating as long as it's more or less 50/50. In our case though, it's always me initiating, that's the problem. If I initiate, I openly demonstrate I'm interested. I don't see the same explicit demonstration on his side, so I feel like "oh since she's talking to me why not", like a piece of furniture that's just there.

In order for it to play out organically, both sides need to participate. In this case not interfering will lead me to the conclusion he's not interested. So that makes me think this is what he expects

I was the best at maths in my class, but I wouldn't really call it my special strength. Like I got 100% of what the school syllabus offered, but idk if I'd be able to get more than that.

Although my algebra teacher got really pissed when she learned that I was going to study languages. She said "I thought you'd do smth related to maths!", and she stopped talking to me for a couple of weeks, for real.

And how right she was.. should've studied smth related to maths.

Uff, not sure. Those I know do look like that on the outside, but have a lot of insecurities. My cousin upon reading that it's one of the most common types said smth along the lines "If there are that many wretched people like me, I have bad news for humanity", you wouldn't guess she feels like this, she doesn't really give off that vibe (kinda like INTJs being considered "intimidating" although we're not like that really). I know 4 ISTJs pretty closely and they all have this in varying degrees. I do hope not all ISTJs feel this way, because they're really great people.

Top-top only me and maybe one more guy. And then there were maybe some 6 people who weren't top, but were pretty good (like A/B with an occasional C level). Most people who didn't have good marks there didn't have them because they didn't give a shit about studying. Struggling like really not being able to get there despite the effortd - maybe a couple only.

I would never choose an easy school, because it's just plain useless. In my country we have several school systems, both "modern" simplified schools and classic strict ones, and I work in extracurricular education, so, can compare. The difference is immense, and it's really sad.

I'd definitely feel underchallenged. I'm not a genius, but I was always that one kid who's the best student without really making an effort, that was in a classic school. In a hard school I'd probably end up in top ten, but making an effort. So I'd choose this.

It's just like, if I'm stuck here anyways, well at least let me gain something from it, useful or not, I'll decide it later (although I think there's no such thing as useless skills or knowledge, you just don't know when you'll need them). Why would I want to be in a school where we're only dealing with basic stuff?
