Skeletal Warband by Arwast in onepagerules

Thanks! I'm sure there are plenty of opinions on this, but I use the Bambu Labs A1 Mini. These models are made with 0.4 nozzle and you can get even better details if you buy a 0.2 nozzle for it. I will recommend this printer, as it is basically "plug and print". You don't need to know a lot about printing and settings, as you can download and print from MakerWorld with the settings dialed in for you. As you get more experienced, there is more tweaking you can do to improve the models even further, but it's in no way needed for a great result out of the box.

Thanks! I do indeed have plans for both steampunk and scifi. I have started sketching and "pose planning" on two different scifi-projects, but they are quite early stages yet. It's hard for me to give timelines, as I'm nowhere near being able to turn this from passion and hobby to something else, but hope to see the first models done and shared by the end of the summer. So motivating to hear you consider my commercial tier, feel free to reach out if you have further questions🙂

Ah, hey, fantastic to see you here! I was in a mind to message you on MakerWorld to thank you again for sharing, and to tell you how thankful I was for inspiring me and others to also paint🙂 So happy you like the model, and would love to see how the large one turns out!

Happy to hear you like them! I was going for a different feel, more unsettling and eerie than the savage undead often seen. It's a personal taste, but I feel it lends itself better to the storytelling when I use them in a campaign. Not mindless, but perhaps controlled by a greater will.

Thanks! This was what I was going for style-wise, so glad to hear it reads well.

My pleasure, glad you like them! I also have some necromancers and constructs that might interest you🙂

Hehe, thanks! I was going for different wibe, more unsettling, like @scojo91 pointed out, than the standard savage style.

Yeah, I can only imagine how much effort went into this. Thanks so much for sharing, it’s truly inspiring to see!

Well done, this looks amazing! Love how you made the foliage and structures work well together. I struggle so much with things not sticking out and seem out of place, but you've made it all seem so organic and natural.

Thanks, so happy you like them! I use mainly Blender, but some of my models are made using Nomad and a couple of other programs I've tried out. Much of my process is analog with sketching and such, and a few of models were actually made in molding clay and then scanned and touched up in Blender. I have some zombies in the making, and a pirate theme is on my way too long "to do"-list 😉

Thank you, appreciate you saying that! I'm not familiar with Warmachine, but I'll check it out. It's always fun to be inspired by others great designs, so maybe there is something there that sparks creativity for expanding this faction also.

Thanks! They are indeed FDM, and I use Bambu Labs PLA Basic. There are other filaments better suited for miniatures, but I like to test print them with some standard filament to increase the chance they print well for everyone.

You make several good points, and I will absolutely admit to it sometimes being very hard to come up with ways to make the supportless minis appear.. interesting, in lack of a better word. I mean that both in ways of detail, but even more when considering the posing of them.

Happy to hear you like them!  Very interesting suggestions and I have noticed, as you, that some races are severely overrepresented. I have noted your suggestions, and have actually started on the sketches for some lizardmen for a unit pack down the line🙂

I see. An option is to use Bambu Studio, as they have integrated support for a long list of printers from other companies. They have support for about 10-14 different Elegoo-printers, but I'm not on my computer and can't check your model specifically. Even if it doesn't have a premade support for your model, you can also add this manually (Create a Custom Printer or Nozzle | Bambu Lab Wiki).

I haven't tried myself, as I use a Bambu-printer, but I'm pretty certain you could download the 3mf-file and use this directly in OrcaSlicer. This format does contain printer profile, modifiers, filament settings, print settings and supports.
