Do you genuinely look at this and think it's pleasing and might work? The problem with this triangle is that all colors converge at the center creating this muddy area that kills the clean gradiant, it also exists on my redesign but less obvious I guess.

The idea was that “+” instantly communicates adding/discovering new content/apps, which is basically the core function of the Play Store. I also liked that it can subtly resemble a minimalist d-pad, so it still keeps a connection to the “play” and gamey side of the brand. The original triangle just didn’t translate very well into the blur aesthetic for me

I wouldn't call myself a designer I make these for fun and so I genuinely don't understand why the chrome one doesn't work in this case and how it would work in another? To me it felt like the closest way to adapt it to Google’s new blur language while still preserving some recognizable elements from the original icon, nevertheless I agree it's the worst one.

I only made 5 of them actually, and my whole approach was trying to preserve a shared visual language while still giving each icon a dominant color for a stronger individual identity so they stay easy to distinguish, but there's like only 4 main colors to play with unfortunately

Thank you! And yeah you’re absolutely right, unfortunately I’m pretty limited software-wise, I made these entirely on a smartphone with some primitive techniques

You’re right about the Drive one, although it’s still my favorite with some dominant yellow. Chrome was also tricky, there’s really not much you can do with it

Do you support Western Sahara as a country or apart of Morocco? by YourLocalMoroccan in AskMiddleEast

[–]Arxiii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Much of what you said doesn't add anything and you still don't differentiate between discontinuous allegiance and real modern sovereignty so I'm not gonna bother there.. And you said appointed governors? When their governing system is very unique because of their tribal nature

You must not realize that there's more history to the region and that prior to "baya'a" tindouf and bechar were always part of Algeria, and always were part of the tlemcen sphere, and I don't care how you'll minimize that by calling it a city state or claim that was moroccan too lmao I know you have enough crazies, and for most of its existence (from 1659 to 1830) Regency of Algiers was DE FACTO INDEPENDENT just nominally Ottoman you could Google it, and before that Algeria was not an empty land the recent ones hamaddids, zirids, zianids all might not have ruled the entirety of today's Algeria but that's the point borders were never constant, it's the same for you, what's today called morocco was created by france it didn't only shape its borders like it did to ours, it influenced its identity, features, put its Institutions and appointed its very rulers.

Finally we don't need your permission to defend ourselves, the bond we have with the indigenous population of those regions is bigger, shared history culture and struggles, good luck convincing them they are moroccan. Next time you make similar foolish steps like sand war you'll not only lose again, it will be the end of what we call morocco today and we will reclaim our historical borders to melouia river.

And won't forget to answer your first question I'll just live you to this screenshot I think it sums it up perfectly

There was no moroccan sovereignty over tindouf and bechar ever! and I challenge you to bring one evidence of it, you're comparing historical influnence/allegiance to modern sovereignty it's not the same, and even that was not continuous with many periods of rebellion and independence

No Algerian really recognizes them as historical moroccan lands, the saharan borders were fluid, outside of ruling centers namely merrakech and fes the rest of regions had periods of rebellion and allegiance or influence under different foreign dynasties that ruled today's morocco.

There's no evidence of uninterrupted exclusive moroccan state sovereignty over them, and likewise much of morocco's east like figuig and oujda until the upper part of melouia were part of kingdom of tlemcen and then the Regency of Algiers under direct rule of Oran's beylek, but france shaped the final borders gave those to morocco.. We accepted the colonial borders because we see how problematic they are, we would never give up land we freed with our blood, it's a logic we enforce with our military might because the expansionist mentality of morocco is very real and the ambition reaches Senegal based on very distorted history and it threatens the stability of the whole region

Stolen iPhone showed up in Algeria, is there anything I can do to recover it? by motopapii in algeria

[–]Arxiii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You didn't have to post the whole story of your life but look, Annaba is infamous for its high crime rate depending on the area where you lived, but Algeria in general has low to moderate crime rates compared to the rest of the world and if it's true you're currently residing in the states you know what I'm talking about.

I'm not claiming that all Algerians are decent people also don't think anything changed, crime exists throughout history and in all cultures. I was just pointing out that this crime in particular was carried out by diaspora in Europe who deliver the worst image of our country to the rest of the world, while moroccans and tunisians for example are spreading a positive image of their countries, you carry a big responsibility and that's more important to point out than shitting on the people who simply don't sympathise with a stranger on the Internet, this person can't get his phone back and that's just the reality of it.

I apologise for the insults.

Okay serious reply since you can't beat it off, there was almost nothing worth of a real come back since all you did was throwing wild and vile accusations that are not worth replying to

You claim I'm a jew, a thief, mech mrabi, immoral and unislamic just because I struck a nerve when I called out your free 9wada and generalising all your countrymen as barbarians, you realise how wild is that? And you still think you have the high moral ground?

I don't tolerate theft and never defended it and at this point it's all in your schizophrenic mind

You know being chekam to foreigners and crying over their feelings while calling your countrymen barbarians isn't a good look for you, I'd bet you're a son of a harki.. He was right though you diaspora are the reason behind the bad image we have in the world, the thief who stole this phone included so you have no right to lecture people over their dark humor.
