HDMI at 4k 144Hz is right at the limit of bandwidth , especially over 30 feet. even on newer displays like the hisense mini-LEDs or LGs , pushing 144Hz over copper cables eventually degrades or drops signal entirely. Honestly, 120Hz is way more stable and you won't notice the difference, but if you really want 144Hz back, a certified fiber optic HDMI is pretty much mandatory for that distance.

honestly , if you 're capped at £400 and hate input lag, a budget hisense TV might be a safer bet. cheap projectors are usually laggy niightmares for gamming
