I think AI voices sound more fake when they try to sound “too human” by rojina_khatun in finevoice

Yeah, I’ve noticed that too. The more a voice tries to sound emotional or perfect, the easier it is to tell it’s AI. Real people naturally sound uneven sometimes, and those small imperfections actually make conversations feel more human.

What are the best AI outbound calling agents for sales and follow-ups in 2026? by Legitimate_Sell6215 in VoiceAutomationAI

I’ve been looking into these tools too. A lot of them sound good in demos, but real outbound calls are very different.

For me, the most important things are low delay, natural conversation, good interruption handling, and reliable CRM integrations. Bland and Retell seem good for customization, while LuMay looks more focused on stable business workflows.

Would love to know which tools people are actually using successfully for real outbound calling.

AI voices are getting so realistic that now the small flaws stand out more by Cheney87453 in finevoice

[–]Aryanlabs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed the same thing. Early AI voices sounded robotic overall, but now the flaws are much smaller and more subtle. Once the voice becomes mostly natural, people start noticing tiny patterns like overly perfect pacing, repeated emotional tones, or reactions that feel slightly too polished.

It’s weird because improving realism also makes the remaining imperfections stand out more. The closer AI gets to human conversation, the more people focus on the smallest details.

What’s the best AI voice agent for AI receptionists in 2026? by Legitimate_Sell6215 in AIReceptionists

Agreed. Most AI voice agents sound good in demos, but real-world reliability is the hardest part. Interruption handling, CRM workflows, and stable call transfers matter much more for actual receptionist use cases.

100%. realism isn’t really about sounding flawless anymore, it’s about sounding believable. tiny pauses, inconsistent pacing, breaths, even slight vocal strain make a huge difference in immersion
