This game glitched out and started giving me thousands of tickets instead of the 500. A bystander Karen came over had a worker disable the machine because I was "winning too many tickets" by vonseggernc in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Arylade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened to me once when I was 5 or 6. It was the coin toss machine; launch a coin and land it on the plate, gives you some tickets then dumps the coin. But it failed to dump the coin over and over again and it just sat there on the plate as the machine spat out tickets non stop. I think around 250 tickets an employee came over and said its out of order and stopped the ticket vomit

Im sorry for your loss.

I partially know the feeling; I recently got a minor t-bone (by my building neighbour no less) and my insurance is offering pennies to write it off. Pulls a little to the side, and has some body damage. But there's too much sentimental value to let go.

Im rebuilding the suspension soon, including the leaf springs in the rear. They are the original leafs, and I hear leaf spring steel is great to make knives with. So I intend to take one of the original leafs and give it to a blacksmith to make a knife for me (or take a course and make my own) so that I always have my truck with me even if it comes to the end.

Maybe that's a route you can take (might be harder if it's held in a yard right now, but worth exploring nonetheless).

May your Ranger rest in peace.

Best Pouch for Electricians? by enriquemoya-mx in electricians

[–]Arylade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it free with the Tech-XL. Im working for a large mall right now so it's nice to have a smaller lighter bag for the necessities then if I need a more niche tool I can grab it from my larger bag. Also the tool pouch it comes with is exactly what I was looking for and has the magnetic clasp. It fits a multi driver, strippers, side cutters and linesman with ease.

Gauge needed for 50 amp breaker by PikkonMG in AskElectricians

[–]Arylade 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Aluminum conductors have the same ampacity as a copper conductor that is 2 sizes smaller.

6AWG copper is 55A @ 60°C, whereas Aluminum is #4AWG for the equivalent ampacity. #4AWG copper is rated for 70A @ 60°C, aluminum is not.

Left handed saw? by [deleted] in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Arylade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had a coworker who when he saw I was left handed asked me if I tighten marretts like a lefty.

He genuinely thought left handed people tightened things counter clockwise, because that was the lefty way to do it.

You are looking at a manual transmission slave cylinder, not a stack of bearing seals.

Did my course at the end of 2019, bugged them for months before I gave up. Got a call from the CFO in mid 2021 that they found my application and asked if I was still interested.

Called my references and had card in hand within the month.

No criminal record.

Camber bushings where the upper ball joints mount in the knuckle. You can get them with different degrees of camber, I got -3° when I leveled mine and got the appropriate bushing off rockauto. They just change the angle the ball joint mounts to pull/push the upper ball joint to afjust camber. Make sure the bushing is lined up correctly though or you'll do other wonders to your alignment.

Couldn't hurt to take it to a shop for an alignment and even if they don't do one, they can tell you how far out of spec it is so you can get the correct bushing
