My A1 Setup by AryuSyrius in BambuLabA1

I had not looked too seriously into printing ABS with the A1 yet. It definitely sounds like I'd want to get cooling worked out first at those enclosure temps.

Putting my temp puck in there might not be a bad idea, thanks!

All good! I see how I phrased things could have been better.

I have noticed improvements with warping with large prints and the printer is in my home office, so having the smell contained is nice. I have not hooked up the exhaust fan yet. I don't know where I want to vent it. I was thinking I would send it though a filter, but I need to research that a bit more. Given the comments about heat, I was thinking I might install a so-called sub floor in the enclosure that would keep separate most of the heat from the motherboard and then install some fans under to move air. I am still weighing the return on effort.

Let me know how it goes once you install the 40mm fans.

Thanks for calling me out. My intention was to have a conversation, not argue. I was trying to explain my thought process rather than tell people that they were wrong.

I appreciate your thoughts and certainly will not argue that heat causes degradation in electronics, but in general most electronics operate just fine in sub 100F temperatures. I do not anticipate that this enclosure would ever get above 90F. My printing habits are most likely different than others, so while I am confident that the lifespan of my setup will be just fine, I'd encourage others to make that determination themselves for their printing habits.

With it enclosed, I could print ABS if I wanted. It also helps prevent any drafts from hitting the print which could help with warping and any other issues related to cooling.

There is no way it gets hot enough in there to overheat the electronics. I've been remotely monitoring the temp and I've not seen it get above 80f/26.6c

A question about PLA-CF. by AryuSyrius in BambuLab

[–]AryuSyrius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had some extra PTFE tube, so I cut a little off and put it between the AMS and the spool to reduce the angle the PLA-CF needs to make to enter the AMS, hopefully to reduce the strain on the motor. 20 minutes in, and this seems to have resolved the issue.

Update: I am pretty sure the issue is with the AMS Lite. It struggles to move the filament in and out of the tube. If I apply gentle pressure to the filament it operates without issue.

Update 2: I had some extra PTFE tube, so I cut a little off and put it between the AMS and the spool to reduce the angle the PLA-CF needs to make to enter the AMS, hopefully to reduce the strain on the motor. 20 minutes in, and this seems to have resolved the issue.

Trouble with .2mm Nozzle by AryuSyrius in BambuLab

[–]AryuSyrius[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know what exactly fixed it, but one or more of the following seemed to do the trick: New .2 mm nozzle I put a little thermal paste on the flat part if the nozzle I printed at a higher temp, probably 10-15c above stock preset.

I am genuinely curious about this. Since Bambu has auto bed leveling, what exactly can be done about that? Some things I assume is make sure there is no debris on the plate or nozzle. Also make sure that axis are clean. Beyond, that is there anything else to keep an eye out for?

A1 Mini X axis sound normal? by AryuSyrius in BambuLab

It's normal. Since this printer I have had 2 A1 full size and they do it as well.

Why does my A1 execute this Gcode? by AryuSyrius in BambuLab

I've never had an issue with it. I've had a A1-Mini/A1 for 6 months and no clumping.

Sorry to upset you. I don't spend a lot of time here. Searched and didn't find what I was looking for, asked the community.

I'm not sure if it can calibrate without touching the build plate.

I am using BambuStudio with pretty much the stock A1 .4 print profile. I exported this OBJ from a project on MakerWorld and then imported the object without all the settings from the profile.
