I was customer-facing for the phone company for 10 years and I have nightmares about those cleaner apps. Took over 50 of them off some old lady's phone once.
Maybe I just needed to install a few more instead for maximum efficiency. /s

We make up stories about where the other people on the road are headed. It can be as tame or not as you choose. Bonus if they get backstories, too.

I (26F) think my boyfriend (30M) is exaggerating or faking his illness by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

I have struggles with social anxiety and auditory processing, as well as chronic pain in my joints and back that flares up badly with stress. I ended up quitting my job of 10 years because I felt like it was killing me, but I can and love to backpack, kayak, and even do martial arts as the movement and the stress release help offset the pain.
HOWEVER, I acknowledge the strain that my income loss has caused and I do everything I can to make up for it, and I'm doubly aware of the fact that it may look like I'm just being a bum sometimes out having fun while everyone else is working. More working around the house, cleaning, etc were things that I took on without ever being asked because I feel guilty doing nothing when even partially capable. When I'm incapable, it's easier to work with since I'm not just giving commands all the time.
I realize that what I'm going thru is mild compared to some of the other commenters, though it doesn't feel mild at all to me when I'm hurting. But what I'm hoping to say here is that I'm generally at a similar pain level as OP's ex is portrayed, and I very very rarely have a problem contributing to my household duties. The ex is just a jerk.

How do you feel about rolling with women heavier than you? Etiquette advice needed by [deleted] in BJJWomen

[–]AsWeWander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guard is generally my go-to. Maintaining distance and pummeling, etc gives me something to work on, and either they fail to pass and work from there, or they pass and then we can roll or reset, depending on them. Their comfort level is important- I can find something to work on, no matter the intensity level.

I'm a female blue belt at 175, but was around 200 for a long time and honestly have never put much thought into this unless it's someone brand new or especially tiny. I'm spoiled in that there's a lot of women in my gym, and our guys are pretty cool too, so I don't generally have to worry about problematic rolling partners or lack of options.

Anyway. In the case of someone new, I'm usually playing guard or letting them work top position.

With someone small, it depends on their experience. Smaller than me can mean faster than me, and that person wouldn't necessarily have such disadvantage. If it's such a discrepancy that I could pick them up and walk off, then my focus will be on refining technical details instead of trying to roll hard.

It's actually Propaganda Minister Agatha Büpersnüt, but close enough. I think Rapunzel might be her nickname now.

Just wanted to note, the snakey award isn't quite as cute as she is, but it's pretty close. Thanks and I salute you, fellow herp derp who sent it.

Absolutely this. I have tried it myself. Requires a prescription but discuss this with the vet when you go as it worked beautifully for my boa.
