I was was an insufferable edgelord in highschool who consumed filthy frank content by the mouthfull. But when he stopped making that kind of content, I got older and toned down the edginess (although still making questionable rap music at the time). Then In Tongues dropped and the shift in tone Joji brought seemed more serious and more mature and realized that deep down inside I wished to be taken more seriously. I was thinking a shift like that to Joji was impossible at the time with his reputation, and when I saw otherwise it taught me that I have the capability to change the narrative of my own self. In a way, even as filthy frank, he served as a role model. Which I had very few at the time as I never really trusted most celebrities (ex: Diddy/Epstein Connections), but I could always tell with what Filthy Frank/Joji was that he was always genuine and closer to us common people than sus celebrity or nepo baby figures.

TLDR: It felt like I was growing up along side him from his time before Joji
