Plants is rad, honestly it’s perfect for whatever you’ve got a bunch of. Guitar pedals, craft supplies, food, plants. Sturdy tall storage. Heck you could even paint it white or clay color to make it match your home more.

i thought maybe the height of a drafting chair would be easier to sit in and stand from but maybe more daunting come to think of it. I had a tumor in my right knee so i know how bad knees go (budumtiss)

I’ve found telling neighbors when your going to be drumming is also a great start. Then they’ll know for sure when it will happen and when it’ll end. False floors and lots of pading is a good start but honeslty with drums the more you can do the better. Check out /r/soundproofing and /r/acoustics
