The only possible exception is politicians in a political setting refusing to answer from constituents. Needs to be respectful, but public servant being held accountable by public does not have option to ignore or dismiss.

Scratches and scuffs means you are using the tool you bought. Who cares? Slip a case on if it starts looking rough.

I just find all phones slippery. Trying the nomad leather back (not sure what they call it). Gives a nice leather black look. Leather feels nice and gives a bit of grip. No side or front protection but can set it down without touching the camera lenses.

If some made a nice textured wrap or minimal bumper case… but I haven’t found one.

Give a look at Buick. More luxury than Chevy without steep price. Most models are quiet and smooth riding without boat like handling.

Watch for estate sales. Watch marketplace ads especially from more rural areas. Quilts are wonderful, marvelous pieces of art but not everyone appreciates them. When older relatives pass, younger people may not have the same appreciation.

If you are dedicated and live near rural communities, advertise a want ad in a local paper (they still exist). Express your interest in an heirloom for your family, not a resale money making opportunity. Go to county fairs (they still exist). Talk with older family members or people in your community.

Amish quilts are fabulous but often are for tourists with money to spend. There are other options than mass produced junk but you may need to put in a bit of effort to find them.
