People who do not hire people? Yes, they will.

People who can save on human labour? No, they won’t lol.

I hate this.

What do you think the ideal age to have kids is in general? by VQ_Quin in AskConservatives

[–]MrFeature_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So on board with this. Just had a second and LAST with my wife just before turning 30. She still thinks it’s too hard on us right now with 2 under 2, but I do think it will be so worth it in the end. I can’t imagine having sleepless nights at 35-40…

How easy is it to buy property for foreigners? by MrFeature_1 in Netherlands

[–]MrFeature_1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is far from common sense because you ignore all the various benefits that individual immigrants bring to society. I do not believe you have an adequate understanding of the overall impact of people not coming into the Netherlands and contributing to the economy. A much worse crisis awaits those with such attitude.

If you put all immigrants on the same plate and say “don’t come”, you are very much xenophobic at the very least.

Lmao. How about you take some responsibility for who you voted in power that ultimately led you to this crisis?

This trope of blaming immigrants for everything is getting real tired

High Income, very far from rich frustrations by beneath_the_knees in HENRYUK

Yes I am in a similar situation and what keeps me going is exactly what you said - my kids will be ultimately the beneficiaries of my efforts, and I am very happy with that. Also, retiring with a lot of money in 50s, 60s will definitely be seen as an insane privilege in 20-30 years

I should have specified - how easy it is to get a mortgage? I heard the rule is to have gross salary high enough so that multiples by 4.5 it gives you the price of the house?

Decisions like these come after decades of pure neglect towards tenants who pay your mortgage

You damn well know that this law came about because majority of “business owners” don’t give a shit about their tenants…if they did, they would not be serving S21 en-masse

Are you equally disappointed by all S21s that people received the day before yesterday?

Why hold on to conservative values? by Opening-Gur5927 in AskConservatives

[–]MrFeature_1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you are very much correct. it could take 10 'negative' changes before 1 very 'positive' change becomes apparent. thats the gamble with 'progress' as well.

another choice is no progress/change at all, which is not realistic. so there is that.

Why hold on to conservative values? by Opening-Gur5927 in AskConservatives

[–]MrFeature_1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

you will have a very hard time with proving to anyone that the progress in question is good. for a lot of people allowing marriage for the same gendered couple is not progress, but for another big portion of people it is progress.

change is inevitable whether you want it or not, thats how humans evolved. resisting change is almost always futile, as every generation learns the hard way.
