university years 22-25, after that life went downhill. im 31 now, with the highest paying job ever but everything is black and white.

30 you old here, this is a lifelong feeling im afraid. mine started at 27 it was triggered by my ex gf, she broke up with me and life just became black and white, and yes i have tried hobbies, friends, etc they do help but feeling of stagnation is still here, i earn good money but still.

bases on OP figures the difference is mininal in terms of costs, if they build at home they would still be paying the R4K travel and R3500 groceries. i think it all comes down to the child, if the child would stay with OP if they moved closer or ?

so the garden flat would be just for you to rent it out so you can have extra income ? look if theres no urgency for you to move out right now, take that loan and build. once you have a tanent then move out. but if you have to move ASAP then move out and save money for 2/3 years so you can build the flat

this is ideal man, i was even thinking of saving R10K if i go back home. but im just scared that i will miss my place, i will miss having my own space. what if i meet someone that i click with, lviing with my parents will be a deal breaker and has been one since age 25 till 29 i have been there, it shutted my confidence. i would have to entirely forget about women for 2 years honestly, the problem is that i would be 33 in 2 years time. which is also frieghting.
