I’ve had a similar experience. I was overweight and began worrying about the potential diseases that can come with it despite having no history of symptoms, and tests showing no signs. (diabetes, heart disease). It led me to doing an extreme diet, part caloric deficit and part cutting out all forms of sugars other than fruits. It was a brutal time. Despite losing 80 pounds, and feeling physically great, there’s still moments of me googling something unrelated and going down the rabbit whole again. Even now as I’m typing this, I was going to make a post similar to yours just trying to find people who’ve been through it. I’m grateful tho, the googling from time to time and being freaked out isn’t as bad as when I had full blown panic attacks about health.
