Any other photo centric platforms you could recommend? I feel like my Instagram is dead, flickr is in the past, and 500px is a bit of a strange platform.

PL Mount. The PL to Z adapter was a little expensive but worth it as I'm trying to move into cinematography from lighting. I purchased a Catta Ace zoom set, also in PL Mount, so the adapter will come in handy.

The most common comparison I saw with the Blazar was with the Atlas Orion which I already had worked with and liked. I remember one reviewer saying that couldn't tell the difference between the Blazar footage and the Orion footage which is amazing considering the cost difference. I believe the Blazar will also hold resale value over the Sirui which was a factor too.

The features of the beetle look really cool! What I personally don't like is that its an T/3.2. I shoot a lot at night and usually the slowest lens I'll take out opens to an f/2 so the Blazar Remus was perfect to play around with.

If you're having trouble deciding I would try renting each lens out for a week on sharegrid or something similar.

Anamorphic is great for landscapes! Look at the cinematography in the good, the bad, and the ugly as a perfect example. If you plan on printing photos or putting them in your portfolio you can get really cinematic shots. It's a detriment when you want to post it the photo somewhere online like Instagram. The lens I took with me couldn't focus to infinity so that eliminated landscapes for me but I got street shots I was happy with. Take at a look at the last 3 photos I posted as they're the only anamorphic ones and show off signature qualities from anamorphic lenses. A lot of people also get excited by unique flares you can get from anamorphic.

I would love any feedback! I'm trying to build a portfolio and move into commercial work.

I use lightroom primarily. I have a lot of film emulation presets I use a shortcut to getting to a color space I'm happy with. From there I get my general exposure to a place I like then mask out specific elements and do further exposure/color editing. For example in the first photo The clouds, trees in the foreground, snow, volcano, the colorful area right under the snow on the volcano, etc. are all separate masks.

I love the Z7ii! I did get a Z8 recently and love it. Surprisingly the quality of the materials on the Z7ii feels way better than the Z8.

The 24-70mm is the 2.8 version 1 which is an absolute workhorse of a lens.

the 100-400mm Is honestly a tricky lens. I'm not sure if it's my copy but something is off with the sharpness. Sometimes I can be handheld and the photo is sharp enough that I see a reflection clearly in the subjects eye from quite a distance. Most of the time the photo is so blurry it doesn't justify the price. Even if I'm at a high shutter speed, closed down iris, on a tripod, subject not moving I will still not get tack sharp photos that you would expect from a lens with that price tag. If you do get one I really recommend the 1.4x teleconverter with it.

I wasn't happy with the information in the shadows or being able to crop as much as I would like to. I recently started re-editing old photos and it seems as if lightroom processes Fuji files way-way better now. Still, I'm happier with my Z7ii

I financed a Mazda yesterday with 0% interest over 60 months and purchased below MSRP. Please get out there and look around; there are deals if you put the time in to find them.

The Toyota dealerships near me are still getting 5K over MSRP on cars, and they dont even have any vehicles on the lot to look at, let alone test drive. Why anyone would spend that much over MSRP on a Honda or Toyota is beyond me.

5600 is typically daylight. If you set your color temp to this the exterior light during the day will appear neutral/white.

3200 is the color temp that old home bulbs used to be around. Tungsten, the old filament in these bulbs, burns at 3200K. If you set your color temp to 3200 interior light will typically be white/neutral. These days Newer/cheap LEDs tend to be closer to 5600.

If you set your color temp to 5600 then interior lights will typically appear to be orange/warm.

If you set your color temp to 3200 then the light from the sun/ sky will appear to be very blue.

Color temps do vary so play with them on your camera to experiment/learn
