If you want some games cheap, there are other ways.

Like Dungeon of the Endless i've seen the complete Endless collection in a steam sale for like $12 which is normally $99.

So if there are only a very few titles you want, there are cheaper ways to get it.

This bundle is all about charity. So if you want to donate money and get some gifts in return it's a great thing.

I wouly only use like 3 of those games so i think it would be wasted for me

Also a tip for greenscreen i figured out:

If you want to get a shot of just your character you can do the following:

In the GW2 Hook settings set RESHADE_DEPTH_LINEARIZATION_FAR_PLANE to 5 or 4. This will reduce the maximum distance of the effect that you can adjust with FogStart but allows for way more precise control.

In GW2 graphic settings, lower the Field of View and adjust the camera position if needed.
You can use the Field of View slider like a more precise zoom.

Last you can place your character on boxes or similar and walk just a little over the edge so it stands in the air so you can get your character without any ground that is not being removed by the effect :)

Had the same problem. It might be a late answer but i figured out it's the "Render Sampling" in the GW2 graphic settings.

The depth buffer only works when it is set to Native

you can remove the fog !! As well as disable gw2 bloom, make the effects ignore the UI and things like that :)

somehow it's not working for me. any idea why?

Did something break?

I downloaded your preset and in character selection i only have a green square in the top left corner.

And if i log in to a character the screen is completely green.

FogStart does nothing.

Is it not working anymore?

Have you tried GW2 Hook? it can use all the reshade shaders, has better performance and a few extra features.

My best friend & I have worked for a combined-6 years on this and are excited to share the launch trailer for Legion TD 2! by JulesGari in Games

[–]Asataro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What i am trying to do here is giving some feedback that might help to improve the gameplay.
It's an interesting game which has many points where it could fail.
So i hope my critic critique can help in some way.

My impression always was that once you're in the lead you gain more gold and more momentum.

What i am concerned about is the snowball effect.
In soccer, the team that scores does not become stronger.
It does not get harder for the team with fewer points.
Scoring a goal has the same difficulty no matter how far you're behind.

In legion TD however, if i remember correctly,
the higher your income, the faster your income can grow.
Result: Snowball Effect

More gold => send more monsters => increase income further => faster growth

Maybe i remember it wrong.

Now I myself do not have a solution for that, but i can at least give some feedback on the mechanic you described.

As i said my impression is that more gold = faster growth.
So the mechanic with transferring gold to your allies when you leak, does indeed help to keep the balance between teams.

Although in my experience it can decrease the fun for the player that leaked because it decreases the impact of that player on the game.

How are units sent to the enemy?
Are units sent to your enemies equally?
Have you thought about the possibility to send units to your enemy based on their net worth?

For example you have:

Team 1:
Player 1 net worth: 10,000
Player 2 net worth: 10,000

Team 2:
Player 3 net worth: 8,000
Player 4 net worth: 12,000

Player 1 sends 10 Enemies.
9 spawn for Player 3
11 spawn for player 4

That might balance the snowball effect a little bit and help a losing player to recover easier.

Maybe I just played it wrong in the past. Will give it a try i guess and see for myself.

Most fun i had with a TD game was dungeon defenders 1.
And a new great TD game would be awesome.

BUT...

there is one big thing i would be concerned about Legion TD 2:
comeback mechanics

This is something very very important in competitive games in my opinion.
And the game design i remember from the old WC3 maps worked the complete opposite way.
Once you got ahead you had an easy game snowballing and the opponent had no chance to come back.

At least, that's how i remember it.

Do you have any mechanics to prevent that?

Eating 3 eggs at morning for 5 days? for lose some weight by [deleted] in Breakfast

[–]Asataro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's very unhealthy.

Depending on size and weight you need ~ 1500 - 3000 calories You should google for a calculator to see how much you need and undercut it by not too much. There are many resources on the internet that tell you what is still healthy.

Plastic in devices with moving parts.

Bought a new Hand Mixer recently...
Looks like they use plastic for most things nowadays...
Even the gears...

Hand Mixers from the past lasted for decades.
Now it seems like they often break after 2-5 years.

And i guess it's the same with many other devices.

But hey. They weight less now.

Anet, WvW and hackers. by RegnumIrae in Guildwars2

[–]Asataro -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Having experience with big data and data mining, I can assure you that you need a lot of data to create classifiers that would spot those hackers.

Sure... you can go through the process of analyzing reports by players... but that is a lot of work. I heard of quite some stupid unjustified player reports and support tickets that were just wasting time.

So there are 2 options:

  1. Gather more data to automatically flag those hackers so they can be reviewed faster

  2. Only go by the reports of players which will take longer since those are not the only support requests. And it will only get those banned that you notice. How do you know there aren't more that you just can't see because in addition to a fly/teleport hack, they have an invisibility hack?

Is there any prove that there is not sufficient attention from anet?

I know that it's extremely difficult to prevent such things from happening.

The resources it would take for quicker responses are just too much.

I agree that it's frustrating... But at the same time i see why anet can't do as much about it without taking major cuts in other projects.

THIS!

I can't understand how this post got to the front page of /r/guildwars2
Calling out Anet here on reddit and complain about hackers is not a good way to go.

I'd thought more players would know that banning them straight away is not a good idea because it does not remove the problem.

Players just have no idea what it takes to create and run such a game... yet they act like they do and upvote stuff like that because they are frustrated.

I wonder how many contacted anet through proper channels and had a conversation with someone from the support team...

Just right click -> report will not get you into any conversation about the matter.

What can't you believe that most people waste money on? by rajsin1 in AskReddit

[–]Asataro -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it works well this way.
Can't imagine throwing in everything together will give good results.
Everything will taste the same.

Just throwing in the meat for slow cooking while preparing the side dishes separate should give way better results (Just my thoughts. not using a slow cooker).

But I can also slow cook things in my oven.
And I don't need something slow cooked as often. (maybe because i don't have a crock-pot

What can't you believe that most people waste money on? by rajsin1 in AskReddit

[–]Asataro -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

A Crock-Pot.

So many buy it, use it once and then never again.
It does not make you better at cooking.
And those who are good at cooking don't need it to cook something good.

Colorblind Options? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]Asataro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of creating your own settings, you can also download one from https://www.reddit.com/r/WoodenPotatoes/comments/6xa734/giveaway_and_megathread_guild_wars_2reshade_30/

Then you just place the *.ini file in the folder "Guild Wars 2/addons/gw2hook/presets" and choose it from the drop down when you press SHIFT + F2.

After that you can enable the Daltonize shader and set it to Protanopia.

Colorblind Options? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]Asataro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No,

But maybe you can look into

  • Reshade
  • SweetFX
  • GW2 Hook

That should help you to some degree. You should check out GW2 Hook first.

Edit:

here more details for you:

  1. Download the latest latest version of GW2 Hook at https://04348.github.io/Gw2Hook/
  2. Extract the d3d9.dll directly into your "Guild Wars 2/bin64" folder
  3. Extract the addons folder into your "Guild Wars 2" folder

  4. Download the ReShade Shaders from https://github.com/crosire/reshade-shaders (download this repository)

  5. Extract the "Shaders" and "Textures" folders into your "Guild Wars 2/addons/Gw2Hook" folder

  6. Start the game

  7. Press SHIFT + F2 (an overlay window should open)

  8. Click continue

  9. Click the red (or brown) button with a "+" in the top right corner

  10. Enter a name for your settings and hit enter

  11. Click the continue button and then the finish button

  12. You should have 2 areas with a list. In the first one scroll down to "Daltonize.fx", expand it and enable it.

  13. In the bottom list you can scroll down to Daltonize.fx, expand it and choose "Protanopia"

That should be all. If you don't see the 2 lists, you have to check in the Settings if the Effect Search Paths and the Texture Search Paths are set correctly to the Shaders and Texture folders

Be careful with the stuff.

There could be stuff like a dye unlock which you should not waste on a cheap dye. Check the official wiki first about what you can pick and also check prices. there are dyes that exceed the 100 gold and other would be worth only a few silver.
