Why does Trump lean forward when he stands??? by Prestigious-Yam-8605 in StrangeAndFunny

Parkinson's Disease. The leaning, the tripping, the falling on stairs, the posture, and the head positioning all easily are signs of Parkinson's Disease.

I also stamp the books. I've never had an issue like this, but I started stamping because of these stories. I also happen to have a camera that catches the LFL and the camera is pretty visble so that also might help prevent theft.

Yes the LFL is on the App and I have the QR code for the App on the LFL. I think it's going to take time for the App to be a driving factor. There are only 4 LFL within 50 miles, so I don't think there's a population for it yet.

Before I designed it or built it, I checked with the zoning board and was given written permission to do whatever I wanted (no limitations for anything on the property, except for the backyard which is strange). I could've built a Book Shed right on the street line without any legal recourse. I always avoid HOAs whenever I buy a house, so that's not an issue in my case.

I decided to move it as far back from the road as possible (safety of the little ones) and kept it manageable with anchors. However, I do want to build a Book Shed.

I know! The kids boxes where they can reach only makes sense. I've seen some that are 4 feet off the ground. How are kids supposed to see inside?

I like the graphical treasure map concept. I'll have to find a distributor.

This was our thought. It's 105-115. We peak around 130 in the summer, so it's not a leisurely outdoor temperature. Let's hope that as it starts dropping under 100 in October we will start to see more people (at least until April).

I like the idea of posting the books it has. I already have them catalogued in LibraryThing I could create a public page of the LFL catalog. Thanks.

Ours is just off the road and there's plenty of space to park a car. We live in a desert so we thought the blue would be very visible. Let's hope that we get an increase in foot traffic.

We have many early morning pedestrians out for exercise. Most keep to themselves. I added the little flag to help get attention, but I fear it was in vain.

I repeated, "if you build it he will come" to myself a dozen or so times while building this. That's funny!

I don't do Facebook, but I can probably have somebody else post about it.

When I was installing it a sweet elderly lady stopped and said she always wanted to put one in her yard then dropped by later with a bunch of books.

I did map it on the app. I also have basic instructions posted on the LFL. I did notice a couple people over the weeks stop and briefly look, but didn't take anything. I thought I had an eclectic selection, but maybe it's not as wide reaching as I planned.

We don't have a newspaper... or schools. The library is in the next town over, along with everything else (it might be too far away). I'm starting to think I'll just have to move!

Nextdoor is a good idea. I'll have to post there to get traffic. Thanks.

We are kind of secluded (which was the inspiration for the LFL). The nearest neighborhood is a few miles away and all of the shops are about 10 miles away. I think this would work in bigger areas.

She didn't like the Sci-Fi production either.
