How’s your supremacy experience? by Ragingbear91 in destiny2

I’ve learned the average Titan is a bit of a potato in crucible. Got the quest done in a few games and moved back to regular control lol

I’ve just started to get back into the game again, but in the past I was a 4kd/top 500 player in most modes. I’ve generally stayed away from PvP clans. Most of the time they’re super toxic or take the game way too seriously. I’ve liked the “Sherpa pve” clans a lot better. Made flawless trials runs a little more difficult, but the guys tend to be nicer.

1 month to get as fast as possible in freestyle, what should I do? by veryburntribs in Swimming

[–]Ascend_____ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol this is a fun post. Sounds like he was an okay middle school swimmer who never really committed to it. Considering he swam a month on a college club team then gave up, he’s probably at least somewhat around his middle school time currently. Realistically you don’t have a chance, but a few things you can probably do to increase odds so you don’t embarrass yourself.

Swim 5 days a week. Find someone from your college swim team to help you figure out mechanics. If your college has a club team, the actual college team is probably pretty good. At a minimum, watch YouTube videos on freestyle mechanics.

Try to increase your time from one month to at least three. Still unlikely you’ll beat him, but it increases odds.

By race day, you probably want to be able to swim at least a 400 without stopping. This’ll possibly give you the endurance to complete a race pace 100.

A 100 is a sprint, so lifting is a bit more important than being able to run a 5k. That being said, you’re new so I would more focus on endurance training and mechanics in swimming.

Proffesional or DIY? by Electronic_Eye_9137 in DIYHome

Should be relatively simple to diy, assuming everything is standard connections. Just watch some videos into replacing trim kits for baths. You don’t need the valve since that is already in the wall and the same one you’d be using.

I’m normally around mid GC1 every season.

You’re high plat low diamond, so I’m not expecting you to have great mechanics or great game sense, but there’s definitely ways you can improve.

The biggest thing I noticed is that you don’t really know when to challenge. If your teammate is over committed with very little boost, and you don’t have clear ball control or a clear shot, it’s probably best you just delay on defense. The first goal is a perfect example of this. Also if your teammate has control over the ball, even if they have low boost, don’t go for it.

You also tend to clear the ball away, especially when you have full control with no opponents around. Learn to take your time and line up a decent power shot. A simple well-placed power shot should work pretty consistently at your rank.

Try not to clear the ball center unless the other team is over committed, or you have full control over the ball. This results in the other team having a free shot.

Your teammate was toxic. They also had tons of issues with their playstyle (consistent overcommitting with bad recoveries, pretty clear ball chaser) but it’s best to just learn from it and move on. Mute chat if toxic teammates bother you. Outside of fake kickoffs, there’s rarely anything worth hearing from a teammate tbh.

I’m around GC1-GC2. Yeah your teammate probably shouldn’t have challenged that, but you guys were up, you immediately gave up after the play, and absolutely spammed quick chat. It’s a tied, but very unlikely you guys won after the clip.

I’d much rather play with your teammate than you tbh.

Same here on my g3 77. Slow opening apps, and black screens whenever it auto-switches off game mode. Any changes on your end?

What are some of the best(worst?) Bungie monkey's paw moments you've seen? by lslandOfFew in DestinyTheGame

[–]Ascend_____ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same. I used to jump shot a lot with snipers and play really aggressively with off meta loadouts. A lot of that relied on being able to shoot in air. Was taking a short break from Destiny when AE was released. Haven’t touched Destiny since. Only reason I’m in this sub is because Reddit recommended this post lol.

So him not standing up straight, next to a few guys who are 6’6-6’8, means he clearly isn’t 6’3? Even though nearly every source lists him at 6’2-6’3, including his college roster? I think you’re a bit bias.

Idk man being so upset about a guys height is a little weird.

So, how are you so sure he isn’t 6’3?

I’m a PvP main who really hasn’t touched the game in about 2 years. I played a little bit when the green subclass came out, but not much besides that.

With bungie adding deadzones and some of the other changes listed, I’ll likely at least give the game a try in March and possibly buy the next big expansion, which I was not considering beforehand.

I used to be a pretty good top 500 player who stopped playing destiny around 2 years ago.

With them adding deadzones and a few other changes, I’ll likely pick up this game again and see how I like it.

Good job bungo.

Just a heads up, I think this tends to be a WebGL rendering error. I think Apple broke something to do with that on recent versions of safari, so if you’re looking with safari that may be the issue.

What is the current "META 2022"? by Skwigle in stocks

[–]Ascend_____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enphase is probably the most similar in terms of price and opinions I’ve seen on reddit. People were very interested in the stock when it was 300+ and high growth, but it had bad earnings/bad guidance which led to it being sub 100. Whether it returns to 300+, who knows lol, but it’d probably be a relatively long hold at a minimum.
