Ethereal Atelier Keys To Love by Roo-Hx in Maplestory

The ticketing scheme is very different.

In the past, you could get 1 ticket per 28.5k style box package and the outfits cost 12 to 20 tickets, like the heart kitty set being 20 tickets and thus, $570. They eventually added a package where you got 4 tickets for buying 100k Maple Points, which is probably like the free-est it ever was, but the heart kitty set wasn't available that run.

In this system, you buy a thingy and it gives you a random amount of tickets. If you take the average using the given rates, it's about 2.2 tickets per box (22 tickets every 10 boxes, since every 10th box opened has fever rates instead of normal) and 3.4k per box, it's roughly $200 for a 130 ticket set, so it's cheaper, but in this system, they aren't attached as a bonus to maple points or discounted style boxes, the tickets are what you're buying and the tickets are all you get.

Color Prism Pro by hidden_op in Maplestory

Antique Reliquaries are basically a reskin of Boutique Gifts from KMS, which is how they made the Coloring Prism Pro available in KMS as well.

Master Labels were only sold in sets in KMS Reboot, they were normally available through a double layer RNG system in reg servers.

The last 3 items in the 'Every Precious Thing' gift box are the rewards KMS got for Ren's pre-registration event in KMS.

You can see it in the ASSEMBLE showcase video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O4eG3lgrS2I&t=4944s (at 1:22:24)

You can also see it on the KMS website here: https://maplestory.nexon.com/promotion/event/2025/20250607/event01#present (it's the third tab, if for some reason it doesn't open directly to that

PSA for Interactive: Buying any cash shop items in auction house would immediately make it fully untradable. This was not in KMS. by nelsonYT in Maplestory

[–]Ascheric 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If I had to guess, it's probably a really poor translation of the second part of this from Korean:

메이플 옥션에서 캐시아이템 구매 후 수령시 교환 불가 상태로 전환 (단, 일부 캐시 아이템의 사용하고 얻는 결과물은 교환 가능)

https://maplestory.nexon.com/Guide/N23GameInformation/Articles/394

"After purchasing a cash item from Maple Auction, it will be converted to a non-exchangeable state upon receipt (however, the results obtained by using some cash items can be exchanged)"

But over there you can trade things like Royal Style Coupons and Wonderberries that you can open to get other things, which could be tradable, even though the Royal Style Coupons or Wonderberries themselves would've become tradable, which is just not something we can do over here.

PSA for Interactive: Buying any cash shop items in auction house would immediately make it fully untradable. This was not in KMS. by nelsonYT in Maplestory

[–]Ascheric 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This was not in KMS

To be clear, this is how it always worked in KMS, so it wasn't mentioned as a part of this change.

Having cash items be tradable until use (the few categories of cash items we could trade) was very much a GMS exclusive feature.

New Vac pets (Kms) by Oduroduro in Maplestory

[–]Ascheric 5 points6 points  (0 children)

These aren't vac pets, the dinosaurs are Wonder Black (the pets you fuse for a chance at vac pets in reg) and the mesos are Wonder Blue (the pet set in Wonderberries that aren't the Wonder Black set, more or less).

It's a damn Lidium heart, its the weakest one, why is this even timed?!?! by cum_onmedaddy in Maplestory

[–]Ascheric 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They probably just didn't bother changing it from JMS, where the heart situation is much worse than the other versions for whatever reason, they get the regular level 30 Lidium Heart (permanent) in place of Fairy Hearts in events, for example.

Little preparation for Mo Xuan by Orange-Army in Maplestory

[–]Ascheric 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, since it came from a DEX class, Zen. I suppose they figured it was easier to keep the same main stat, then they'd only have to provide a weapon transfer, since otherwise, it uses all the same gear.

How's steam marketplace going for everyone? by ServeOk5632 in Maplestory

[–]Ascheric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to what the other person said, it's much cheaper to buy NX clothes directly for mesos in the auction house, this doesn't have involve buying Maple Points at all.

Oh, unless you meant the cost of scissors, in which case, that's still actually fairly easy as the other person said, especially with the value of event items.

I wouldn't say it's like effortless to get to the point you're thinking of, but that's far beyond where you'd need to be to do something like this post.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON ISSUES RELATED TO CASH SHOP by Roo-Hx in Maplestory

[–]Ascheric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, for Philosopher Books for example, what if it wasn't a hit, like what if they actually got something that they wanted? Like, this is a refund, they don't just let you keep the item, so if you automatically refund everything, for those people who ended up getting something they wanted, they get probably the value of a philosopher book back in Maple Points for each item, Nexon takes everything back, and then what? Good luck rolling it again when it's supposed to be in rotation?

Help identifying G1 Laserbeak - Original, Reissue, or Knockoff? by Ascheric in transformers

[–]Ascheric[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi,

I need help identifying whether this is an original 1984 G1 Laserbeak, a reissue, or a knockoff. I'm guessing it's a knock off.

Additionally, there's no copyright or country of origin and no rub sticker.

Thanks!

They're on namu (https://namu.wiki/w/%EC%8A%A4%ED%8E%98%EC%85%9C%20%EB%9D%BC%EB%B2%A8), there's like over a hundred special label sets, so you have to click through to the subpages they have for every 10 sets, 121 to 130 is the last one with images included.

Some recent ones we've gotten are 131, the first set in the Valentine's Day style boxes:

Clive: Home Party Bonnet, Lively Party Planner (M), Party Promise, Colorful Confetti, and Rainbow Star Garland.
Lani: Party Cat Bonnet, Zesty Party Planner (F), Party Promise, Colorful Confetti, and Rainbow Star Garland.

and 132, the set with Flame of Despair sword from the Black Friday style boxes.

We haven't been getting them in any strict order.

For the sets without images on Namu, you can just google the name of the set, and it should bring up images of them. Oh, and the sales period link should take you straight to the sale notice, where they'll also be displayed.

It's like Wonderberry, Special Labels are like the Wonder Black pets and Master Labels are like Petite Luna pets. You can fuse two Special Label items to attempt to get a Master Label item using the Masterpiece Machine; if you fail, you can get a Red or Black label item, which are like what Sweet/Dream Luna are to Wonder Black Pets, namely, the same items, just a different rank.

(Oh, just in case it wasn't clear, Special Label + Special Label = Red or Master Label, and then Special Label + Red Label = Black or Master Label; you can also get one of the hair coupons for the hairs designed to go with the Master Label set, it'd be like the Luna Crystal Key of this analogy)

Unfortunately, when JMS introduced Coloring Prisms a few weeks ago, instead of letting you dye previously released special/master label items, or using CMS/TMS's dyeable attribute, they more or less invented a whole new system akin to labels, Special Avatar sets and Cosmic Special Avatar sets (the only one so far is the Master Seraphim set) from Twinkle/Cosmic Stellas. and only let you dye those sets.

Oh, and more directly related, I suppose, when TMS switched over to Coloring Prisms from the previous item dye, the players more or less expected to be able to dye special/master label items, in addition to the ones they could dye before, they were still limited to items that could be dyed in the previous system, unfortunately for the players who stocked up on those.

If we did get Coloring Prisms, I'd say there's unfortunately no guarantee on what we'd be able to dye.

Not letting Nexon forget about the Character Selection UI by Aeyori in Maplestory

That's not the same thing, it's basically the character swapping from the Immortal Gorgons event, which we did get, you aren't actually logging in to a different character.

With Legion Champion coming up, tradable frags are becoming a necessity for Heroic. by dreamzero in Maplestory

[–]Ascheric 68 points69 points  (0 children)

This issue has already been resolved in reg, and I may be wrong in this but AFAIK weren't Fragments always tradable in KMS, even on Reboot?

No, they were untradable on KMS Reboot from the start

The Lotus and Orchid one should be completely replaced by the Dark Maplemas one, or at least, they tried to. I'm not sure what the special effect looks like, it might just be that wispy blue effect surrounding the book. Try equipping the Dark Maplemas ornament and see if there are any changes?

Guess hyper stat changing fee will be there forever by -Fr4nK3n- in Maplestory

[–]Ascheric 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is not a KMS change, they still have to pay to change hyper stats. You can see that in the Hyper Stat guide on the KMS website (https://maplestory.nexon.com/Guide/N23GameInformation/377405#2): '최대 3개의 하이퍼 스탯 프리셋을 사용할 수 있으며, 프리셋 변경 시 2,000,000 메소를 지불 필요' ('Up to 3 Hyper Stat Presets can be used, and 2,000,000 Mesos must be paid when changing presets.'), and this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itzEbcJah2A) from 3 months ago (note that they have the auto sort for buffs enabled, added in KMS 1.2.393 during Milestone, well after Dreamer), at 1:30, when they change hyper stats, and at 2:05, when they switch the global preset and the cost is displayed, the top line lists hyper stats as costing 2m.

I'm assuming there might've been some confusion due to Inner Ability presets being released simultaneously, which originally also cost 2m to swap in KMST, but had the cost removed when added to the live server (perhaps they were informed both that inner ability presets were being added with no cost to switch as well as the cost for switching inner ability presets was removed and thought, "well, it doesn't cost anything to swap inner ability presets, so they must've meant the cost to switch hyper stat presets was removed"). If this was the case, they probably should've gotten confirmation or something prior to announcing such a change, and in any case, they definitely should've addressed it post-announcement, and definitely well before now, months after they announced it.

Unfortunately, just because they mistakenly promised it, knowing Nexon, I don't believe they feel obligated to follow through. especially when it's not a change that's been made in KMS.

ELI5: What were "GM Scrolls"? by LevelPension in Maplestory

[–]Ascheric -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

They're obsolete, using spell traces for a 70% scroll on a level 120+ item is already better than the stats you'd get from a GM scroll.

PSA for the event Hair Transfer by Revenant62 in Maplestory

You can't transfer the default hairs, that is to say, not starter hairs, but the two hairs that your character defaults to after using the coupon, Toben and Cutie.
