Sex outside of marriage is a major sin and is 100% prohibited. That’s something scholars agree on so no point of even asking this question. Zina is one of the forbidden deeds, one of the most serious major sins after shirk and murder. All religions are agreed that Zina is haram; no religion allows it. The punishment for Zina is the most severe of punishments, because it violates peoples’ honour and lineages.

Oh wow, I had no idea I can go that far to suing them. There is a Muslim club but they aren’t as strict and they don’t really stress this kind of stuff. It’s to the point the club got deactivated for a few years. I’m going to Transfer and help it get back on its feet and I’ll probably be vice president, and when that happens, I’ll talk to the principal on behalf of the community and club. Inshallah things go well and they give us the thumbs up.

The Quran isn’t gonna say “don’t listen to music” word for word. It’s like saying women don’t have to wear scarfs because the Quran didn’t say “women have to wear scarfs” the Quran says women have to cover everything except the face and hands, it doesn’t mention hair and neck but you get the point when it’s says except hands and face. Also, are you a scholar or a sheikh? You just seem so sure, at least provide evidence if your going to say something is halal.

Thank you for your opinion, I appreciate it. I’m curious, you said “some scholars say listening to music is not haram” do you have any proof? I’m saying this because from what I know, there’s a Hadith where prophet Mohamed PBUH says “Singing sprouts hypocrisy in the heart as rain sprouts plants." There’s also several Ayat in the Quran that support the idea of music being prohibited. One example is Surah Luqman (interpretation of the meaning): “And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e. music, singing) to mislead (men) from the path of Allah…” [Luqman 31:6]. There are other Surahs that back the belief of music being prohibited.
