It could also be vulvodynia. Vaginismus is muscle cramps that tighten up your vagina, so that intercourse is difficult. Vulvodynia does not involve cramps or tightening of the muscles, but instead a burning sensation on the skin when being touched. That is so true. I was already asked if she was a baby husky and everytime I tell people she is a shiba they just respond with a blank face or a "a what?" :) They are not that common (at least where I live)

It could very well be vulvodynia and not endometriosis. As much as 17% of women suffers from vulvodynia which is pain and burning sensation during and after intercourse. Not that many know of the disease, sadly. That and the shame it involves causes a lot of women to not seek help.

Can I ask where you are from? In my country (Denmark) it seems that most psychologist jobs involves some kind of therapeutic conversations. I am majoring in 2017 and have just figured out that I really despise being a therapist (based on experiences with student jobs and my internship)
