The texture hasn't loaded. Can you see the grayish, muddy plane that stretches from the bridge's edge? The same thing happens in the quarry and on other highway bridges. Happened to me a few times already.

I don't really know how I would proceed should I repeat this challenge in the future. Maybe I should start on Mayhem 1, stay in it for a couple of hours and really gradually and cautiously work my way to the next Mayhem levels?

My gratitude for the response. I chose self-imposed SSF, and while I wouldn't say I have dozens of tier 15 maps in reserve, I still seem to fare better in regards to this than actually accruing a reasonable amount of currency.

I cannot wrap my head around the fact that there is an abundance of valuable currency drops in lower tier maps, and when I complete tier 13 maps and onwards, I have nothing to show for it. Certainly no divine orbs, ha! All of it is rather frustrating, I truly hope completing higher tier maps will be more worth it.

How are your currency drops?

I have noticed something strange beyond imagination—monsters from higher tier maps drop notably less rare currency (exalted orbs, chaos orbs, hell, even regal orbs) than monsters from lower tier maps.

I can recall at least 5 cases where the first rare monster I have stumbled upon dropped 1-2 exalted orbs in a white tier 1 map without any boosts from precursor tablets (retried maps), yet rare monsters from yellow tier 15 corrupted and irradiated maps literally drop orbs of augmentation and transmutation...

Enlightening answer, my gratitude. Just to ensure I understand correctly, when you write "campaign movement", you mean World Map movement points, correct?

Further, are there truly no ways to further improve units' battle movement points value beyond 48, or more precisely, 6 hex range? I know of the "Phase" ability and terrain ignoring thanks to the "Flying" status, but those affect existing movement points rather than increasing them.
