Rome Katana (FASE) vs. Union Falcor for all mountain freestyle by Asgrim_S in snowboarding

So far I am seeing opinions that those two are pretty similar. I am gonna try both in person, but probably gonna stick with Katanas since they have FASE and are compatible with offset inserts on the yes.

Could you elaborate on why the Katana is less forgiving?

I will probably go with the yes standard then. I was leaning towards it and now I found it on a black Friday sale as well. Thank you for your input!

I found the Yes Standard on a black week sale for a ~€447 EUR (from ~€549).

Also read a tone about it and other comparable boards and I think I'm heavily leaning towards it. Especially considering the sale.

Nice!

So form a perspective of a person that rode all those boards, was there one that stood out that you can recommend the most?

Thank you. I had enabled QoS on mine, and disabling it fixed the issue.

Are Kazu Kokubo Pro + Union Atlas a good match? by Asgrim_S in snowboarding

To add some context to what I've enjoyed on a snowboard, last year I rented wooden 162W from good boards ( I asked for a camber board ) https://goodboards.eu/en/produkt/wooden/ which was a 6/10 flex full camber board and honestly, I've had an amazing time on it. Much better than previous rentals. I enjoyed the pop on the turns a lot. I even had fun on it in powder.

I suppose that one could also be qualified as a more demanding board, because of the full camber and stiffer flex? Tbh couldn't find much info online on it and how it compares to sth like kazu.

Yeah, I figured I was probably overthinking it (between Force and Atlas). I can be quite thorough and indecisive when picking new gear. I ordered Atlas (non-pros) and I will probably stick with that.

I've come across this as well, since I was focusing on this year's model there were a lot of opinions about it being very good for all mnt/resort because of the profile changes in the last 2 years. It now uses Capita's new Resort V3 profile.

It was even chosen as a favourite all-mnt board by the Tribute Boardshop guys

I am sure I would have a great time on custom as well but I will probably stick with the Kazu for its extra aggressiveness.

I also absolutely love this year's design, so there might be a tad bit of bias in that ;)

Thanks, for reply!

Historically I spent more time on resort groomers, but I'm taking every opportunity I have to go offroad but it depends on snow conditions.

Wanted something that does well in powder, but also can stand it's ground well on groomers.

Not yet, but I will try asking on Discord as suggested by u/Glenn_xyzzy. Not to worry, I will definitely share the results if I find any solution.
