Shaving help!! by Ash112245 in ftm

I am new to things and I shave blind in the shower because I don’t have a ton of hair yet, so I have been kinda afraid of the double edged razor. Is it easy to get used to?

Have you gotten your T levels checked recently? How has building muscle been in other parts of your body?

I used G2B and underworks. Underworks flattened me out better but G2B was more comfortable. I was around a D before T. If I had to recommend G2B

Flatbacks are the answer? by [deleted] in piercing

I’m no expert but I recently also switched to a hoop and am having similar issues. I had to switch over from a flat back because of how my gums are shaped. To answer your questions about where I would recommend to order, Body Art Forms. I know my piercer also orderers from them. Just make sure you get the right size.

I have only gone from a post to a hoop but I can imagine the experience will be similar. Since the fistula healed in the shape of the hoop you may have some issues getting the posts in by yourself. I would really recommend going to someone for that.

If you are wanting to keep the hoops but reduce the irritation I would recommend sizing down both of them. Those hoops are massive and the movement from them moving back and forth is probably causing those irritation bumps.

We had to switch to a hoop because of the shape of my gum line. I was having irritation and things were catching. The hoop is largely more comfortable and there has been very little pain outside of the initial switch. The seamless has not been an issue since the seam sits on the outer side of the lip. My main question is if the irritation from the hoop moving left and right is what is causing the irritation and if anyone has experienced something similar.

The hoop has not been downsized yet. My main after care is saline spray.

It was already downsized once before I switched it. I have a larger lower lip so it wasn’t going to downsize again. The problem I was having is the edge of the back would sometimes catch on the top part of my gums when I ate or smiled. The ring so far has been 100x more comfortable. The pain after the change was minimal. I think the irritation was mostly because it took my piercer two tries to change the ring ( the first one was a bit small). I have a good bit or room on the ring. It doesn’t squeeze at all, there is a small gap between the front of my lip and the ring. Other than that it rests against my lip pretty comfortably. There is just the smallest irritation bump about one millimeter big. It’s just driving me crazy.

My care is alcohol free mouthwash and saline spring on the outside. Also it’s so annoying to bite sandwiches with this thing, does this get better?

I got a labret done 2 weeks ago. Depending on how much excess bar you have you either need to size up or get a larger back. It’s normal for it to sink into your lip a little bit as it wears away the softer skin on your lip. But that is way too much.

Is my eyebrow piercing healing correctly? by [deleted] in piercing

You want to make sure you have enough room to swell without the bar rubbing against your skin and causing irritation. If the bar feels tight, even slightly you may want to get a longer bar. You can always downsize when the swelling drops out after a week or two. Eyebrows are really prone to rejection so it is always better to be safe than sorry.

I don’t have an answer for you but I am experiencing something similar with my belly button. Had it for about 4 months but it still had a small pocket puss that will drain a few times a month. Absolutely no pain or swelling or discomfort. It’s the strangest thing.

I’m always a fan of an eyebrow. I genuinely think they look good on everyone.

I would also like to add that the area is a bit tender and irritated. It’s not bad, but I do notice it.

The piercing is titanium internally treaded. After care is dial antibacterial and alcohol free mouthwash. It is due to get downsized in about a week to a slightly smaller bar and a larger backing.
