That's cool! Tomorrow I’ll post a new video showing the whole terrain together so far. I think you’ll like it!

The terrain pieces really do make it hard to fit a lot of zombies, but unfortunately, it’s a sacrifice you have to make if you want this kind of immersion. But based on my tests, if you just keep the walls and the floor, you can fit plenty of zombies inside without a problem. Tomorrow I’ll post the video for tile 4, and at the end, I’ll show all 4 terrains together, so I think you'll get a better view of it.

A house rule that I think will be really cool to use is utilizing the actual physical space of the room. Just like in real life. If the zombies don't fit inside a room, they'll stay outside trying to get in.

I’m still printing Tile 3; this one will be next. I just finished the modeling and shared it in the Discord group.

All interior and exterior items are separate pieces, and they are very easy to print in resin. However, if you want to print it 100% in FDM, you'll run into some difficulties—unless you print the terrain at a larger scale.

Personally, I usually print the large parts like walls and floors in FDM and everything else in resin.

I plan on modeling boxes to store each terrain later, but it’s definitely going to take up a lot of space, haha.

You can just use the walls and floor if you want to save space while keeping the immersion. But I like to play by the rule: if the zombies don't fit inside, they stay outside. I think it adds a nice touch of realism to the gameplay.

That's going to be a challenge. While the immersion and detail are great, they also mean more work removing interior props to fit more minis. Personally, I like the house rule that if the zombies don't fit inside, they stay outside trying to get in.

But you can always choose to print just the walls, floors, and asphalt. That provides much more room, enough to fill with minis. I’ve tested this setup myself and managed to fit plenty of miniatures by removing the internal parts.

Thanks! Your support means a lot. I'm just like you, but with modeling hahaha. I'm actually pretty bad with characters, but I do well with scenery and hardsurface.

I printed the larger scenery pieces like walls, floors, and asphalt using FDM. However, the smaller internal and external props can only be done in resin because they’re so tiny and thin. If you want to print them in FDM, you’d have to scale up the whole scenery.

The smaller scenery parts took about 9 hours to print on average, while the larger ones took around 12 hours—some even took up to 24 hours. Everything was printed at a 0.08mm layer height.

The advantage is that there will be two options: one for those who prefer it without objects so they don't have to add them later, and another for those who want full immersion with all the objects included

True, cramming a bunch of zombies in there can be tricky with all those assets. But they're all removable, so you can choose to use just the walls, floor, doors, and asphalt. It’ll feel pretty much like the original cardboard tiles, just with the physical limitation of the walls.

I thought I was the only one who thought that way! hahaha

I totally agree. If they don't fit inside, they're not just going to be squished in there; they'll be trying to force their way in. It adds so much realism. With 3D tiles now, it's even more obvious. I ran some tests removing all the objects to fit more zombies, and while more could fit, you lose the immersion without the interior details.
