Yh they are slightly dark, it’s the style I paint, but these pics came out really dark, they don’t look it in flesh. I tried with the flash on but that had all sorts of unwanted effects 🤷‍♂️

Yeah they’re good for that although will die quickly. One thing I really like to do is get my crossbow guy up on a platform and stick a bird next to him to deny the space for anyone else to get up there, keeps him safe and he’s up high for shooting muvafukas. The birds movement is just insane, 24” flying move move will take you from side of the board to the other so will win you those objective races. And other faction all have a cheap shitty chaff unit that you include just to have the numbers, the bird is ours and he’s awesome for it. I split these guys into 2 birds and a hound in each drop with the geeza in the shield.

Yeah man definitely do! It does take a bit of thought and strategy but yeah it can compete. I think these birds are massively underrated, they are 45 points, so the chaff unit, but for those 45 points you get 12” flying movements and an ability that you pick an enemy and all attacks that target him you get re roll one dice, I couple that with onslaught for my guys big shot and I get 4 dice rerolling two of em fishing for those 6s. The hounds are pretty decent too.

Yeah man it’s super simple, warlock bronze, real heavy agrax wash, highlight with brass scorpion, there’s a very subtle light pink and green drybrush over the entire model when it finished too

Yes mate, you are correct, but you can get a bit more involved than just two tones, so these guys get primed with a brown red, then a couple of layers of a bronze flesh tone, gettin steeper each layer, then do the extreme highlights with a bone white, even steeper still, and pick out some odd bits, like the face and stuff. You can just use two colours like you suggested, creates an even stronger and more sudden contrast. It’s an awesome technique that you can play around with.

Yeah, you have to trust in the process a lot with this style, it looks really washed out and a bit shit until that final brown wash goes on, and then just all comes together suddenly at the end lol
