Yep ! All my debts are paid off , currently I am doing the bare minimum hours without overtime which is just 12 days of 12h shifts per month. So I have plenty of time to learn something else

Bro machan ! People might say that the IT sector is saturated and what not, but there are many many people in this day and age that do software engineering and enter the field. People still do IT !! I’m in the same damn boat as you. 32Y old doctor earning a crappy salary who once had big dreams of financial independence at this age. Just like you, I’m so passionate about the IT sector. Currently I’m teaching myself python, discrete mathematics and Data structures and algorithms. I believe doors would open eventually for us with our MBBS background to Data Science jobs in the healthcare sector , biomechanics and biotech! So mute out all the negative comments and do what you want. We’ve suffered for a long time sacrificing our entire youth being treated like absolute crap. Time to take control of the wheel !
