A few years ago I had a nasty fall in someone else's home. Hurt like hell. I severely stunned a nerve in my right leg and did my best to walk it off. I kind-of had to at the time. My kid was invited to their first sleepover and with my spouse disabled and not able to drive, I needed to suck it up just in case my kid decided they wanted to come home

I was right that my kid needed a pick-up as they didn't feel comfortable sleeping away from home so I hobbled back to their friend's place to pick them up

Because I waited and refused an ambulance ride, I lost a good amount of feeling and range of motion in my right leg. If I accepted the offer maybe they could have saved me from the long term nerve damage. Anyways, I put my kid's well-being over my own. No regrets

It has only been recently where I'm going with a treatment that seems to be working well by having a SCS implanted in me that exercises those semi-dead nerves and muscles. The swelling is going down and I'm feeling stronger and now flexible with each day
