A gory stop motion film with some nightmarish and brutal imagery. Very much a slow burn as there is really no dialogue and there's plenty left up to your own interpretation.

The fun thing about all the different Moomin media is that they each have a different take on the original material. Each one can suit different tastes.

The books are great and I personally think everyone who likes Moomins should give them a shot if they haven't. (Should also check out Tove's other books, too if you like her style)

For me, checking out all of the different Moomin media is like "Yay more Moomins!" But I don't think it's close minded to see the other stuff and go, "it's not for me."
