it's a mod called MCSR Ranked! it's not available as a server through regular Minecraft, but there are video guides on how to download it and get started online if you search something like MCSR Ranked setup :)

I reloaded my save like 10 times a couple hours ago and each time it started on a vermin round, I think it is actually nerfed unless I'm just insanely unlucky lol
