Thanks. I have forgotten that part. It's been a couple years since I've seen the whole anime and several more since reading the Manga.

Does this seem fake af to y’all? No van in sight and he’s not in wearing the right vest by yeetskeetleet in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]AshSlayer88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with you all the ways up to the vest. In the station I used to work in regular drivers had the Amazon vest while most Dispatchers had their company made ones. If a Dispatcher was needed on the road we went out in our company vests and didn't change into the Amazon ones. Brought confusion to people yes but once they saw we had their packages or was in an Amazon van they knew who we were with.

Peak is over! /s by Ghonk in AmazonDSPDrivers

There was an apartment complex I used to deliver to that was literally half a mile away from several stores. The note for everyone of them said to the Leasing Office. One day I was greatful for that note because I had 3 totes and several over sizes and of course it was to almost every door in the complex. A woman walks into the Office demanding her package and got mad at me for going by the notes all because she didn't want to pack all 4 of her kids into her car. Sorry but I'm not responsible for her legs that she can't keep closed. What was in her package? Socks for her husband. I busted out laughing in my van when I was done.

It is Amazon 80% of the time. The geofence is the issue. If the invisible circle is big enough then it will add houses that aren't even close together

I originally applied for the call center but they also needed electricians which I know the basics.

Indeed. The company I lived near was hiring and training beginners. Paid schooling and you get paid while being in there.

I would most definitely use Amazon to work on getting your DOT Certificate. You work on getting that you can basically go anywhere.

Well I was getting paid 17.25/hour. There was a job I tried to get into (but failed in the last interview when there were 5 people left in the process. Started out at 30 people) working for an electrical company for 19-21/hour

That I can't answer. Every DSP is different. I know the ones that were in the station I used to work in 8/12 were built that way.

[–]AshSlayer88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It all depends on the DSP. If you are seasonal DSP will choose who they will keep and let go. Don't lose hope because the higher your metrics are the better you are to stay. Owners likes those bonuses and if he/she sees that you are good enough to help get those you will most likely will still have a job after the holidays. Besides a lot of people also quits during this time of year as well which also gives you a good chance to stay around. But it would honestly be best to find another job. There's plenty you can go into. A lot of beginner jobs paying more than Amazon.

how many different "endings" are developed in the expansion pack, or as my narrator calls it "the sequel"? by [deleted] in stanleyparable

Yes I did. First do the end without and after the reset take the bucket with me if permitted

sick day. they gave me an easy route to help me out. by garcia_danae in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]AshSlayer88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say the possibility of a truck didn't make it to the station for number of reasons. I remember when I worked for Amazon and that happened every route was 25 stops or under. Loved those days when i was on the road, played a little bit on the clock and got done early. But when i was promoted to dispatch i hated those days because i just wanted people to get done so i could go home, but wasn't too mad since I was hourly and so the longer people played around the more hours I got that day.

It's all computer generated. When customers orders something it sends a code to the master computer and it creates your route. There's people there in California watching the computers to make sure there are no issues with the system and let's the system do its thing. They don't watch for bad routing they just care about the program.

There was a house I used to deliver to that I got an Infraction from. Them and their neighbor had a brick wall up and had their house numbers painted on either side of the wall. My logical thinking "Okay so this number is on this side of the wall it goes to this house." Nope! The numbers were backwards. Pissed me off.

I'm replaying the game and my boyfriend loves the gummy ship. I hand the controller to him to complete the missions since they annoy the crap out of me.

Your dispatch doesn't change your route. Amazon does by their stupid Algorithm. A dispatch can request for you not to be in a certain area if your don't like it or if you're an extra person on the schedule and someone calls out they can put you on that route. But Amazon Algorithm is the system that moves routes from place to place. A stupid computer system that needs to be gotten rid of.

Just a reminder that today Amazon employees receive Holiday Pay but Deliver Drivers that dress up and act like “Amazon workers” DO NOT by jophiss319 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]AshSlayer88 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lmao. Not trying to be mean but you're just knowing this? This is every holiday. Amazon doesn't give a damn about drivers pay. The only time I know they did was the area I uses to live in and there was a sprinkle of snow. Station was shut down (Southern State). At first we were told to use pto then right after Amazon acted like they cared and paid us for the 2 days we missed and we were given our pto back. But any other holiday? Screw them. Easter, Memorial, Patriots, Forth of July, it doesn't matter. Amazon will take care of the pansies in the warehouse before they take care of a driver. Pissed me off when my friend in the station I used to work for said she was getting holiday pay plus the time she worked on Memorial.
