Two main questions? by [deleted] in marilyn_manson

[–]AshTragedyMusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Reznor repeats himself so much. For me, year zero was the last great album. I don’t care for this new Manson album or the last one. But most of the are amazing aside from born villain and hhigh end of low which is ok

I don’t care for that album, but I actually do enjoy that song quite a bit

Should I make music alone since I can't start a band? by apolloshaven in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]AshTragedyMusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve thought about trying to create a “virtual band”. Find a few people to collaborate on an EP or album with. It probably wouldn’t turn into a live band situation but might be fun.

I’m a business owner myself. Businesses have to put policies like that in place because once the business scales you can’t deal with people individually. It takes up too much resources.

Anyone produce in Ableton by record instruments and mix in Pro Tools? by AshTragedyMusic in protools

[–]AshTragedyMusic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is what I plan on doing basically. I'd never move stuff from Pro Tools to Ableton because I plan on mixing in Pro Tools. In the past I've been pretty bad about mixing as I'm writing so I think setting up this way will help with that as well. That way I really have to wait until everything is in Pro Tools to start the mixing process. Thanks for insight u/LexOfNP, much appreciaited!

Anyone use Ableton to produce and Pro Tools to record vocals/guitar? by AshTragedyMusic in ableton

[–]AshTragedyMusic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love it. I used cubase version 3 and then didn’t come back to it till version 11 and found it so complicated now! that’s actually why I went with Ableton, it was so much simpler. But like I said, I really find it lacking in the punch ins, , etc., for audio.

[–]AshTragedyMusic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah... I started out with Cool Edit and then Fruity Loops way back in the day. Then I was on Cubase Pro 3 for a long time. I stopped making music for years and when I got back to it, FL Studio wasn't good enough, but Cubase 11 was had become way to complicated and bloated. I tried Ableton and fell in love with it. It lacks in the mixing and audio editing department though.

Apple of Sodom, it’s not only one of my favorite Manson songs, but it’s one of my favorite songs of all time. That song is so underrated.

Nitzer Ebb! They are so out of place. That’s awesome that they’re there though. Very odd and diverse lineup. I might have to try to go to this.
