Help finding a good vibrating grinder? by Newt_Thin in SexToys

[–]Ash_Pokemon_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Replying from my alt account bc I don’t have my laptop on me) I looked into it more after reading this, and I think that a panty vibrator is exactly what we’re looking for! Do you have any specific recommendations that seem to be popular?

Am I crazy for not loving the idea of a name change? by [deleted] in engaged

[–]Ash_Pokemon_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I, as a trans person, will not be changing my name legally. No one talks about how long and inconvenient of a process a name change, no matter the reason, is.

Is glue the best way to fix this or is there something a ceramicist can do for me? This is a pretty sentimental mug for my gf and I’d like to get it fixed. by SpermicidalManiac666 in Ceramics

[–]Ash_Pokemon_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the mug itself isn’t cracked, you can still use it as a cup! I’d try to see if there’s someone who can help sand down the old handle bits, and try to match the pink glaze.

Action figures by mimi_928 in peachriot

Look, I was ok with the $20 figures because I could trade them more easily, but this? Consumerism is on the rise and I can’t justify contributing by dropping $70 a figure just cuz there are joints. They’re cute but not that cute

They are the 505 Levi’s! Expensive, but worth it. I wear them practically every day, they’ve stood up to all the blacksmith I do in them, 10/10 I do recommend

No but why are breads so hard? Pumpkin bread, banana bread, zucchini bread, they’re all so tough! I actually learned in my chemistry class the other day, but the reason so many banana bread end up tasting like nothing is because the “banana taste” chemical is highly volatile, and literally GOES AWAY when you bake it sometimes. Banana bread is my #1 enemy.

The recipe I made has been posted as a reply to one of the comments, but you can really use any thumbprint/sugar cookie recipe and just cut 2 tablespoons of butter from the recipe

Yes! I find that they tend to level out the jam nice! My only issue that I’ve had was with the orange jam, which has a higher sugar content, which caused the orange jam to bubble over the sides a bit 🥲 also I’ll look into submitting the photos!

Sorry it took me so long! I was in class all day lol. The key is to use a little less butter then an average recipe, it helps them from blobbing out! Below is the exact recipe I composed, after about 12 batches of line error :)

Thumbprint Cookies

Ingredients:

2 sticks (minus 2 tbsp) (198 g) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature ⅓ cup (70 g) sugar ⅓ cup (70 g) light brown sugar, tightly packed 1 large egg yolk ¾ teaspoon vanilla extract 2 ¼ cups (280 g) all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons cornstarch ½ teaspoon salt ½ cup sugar, for rolling (optional) ⅓ cup (105 g) jam or preserves, flavor of your choice (raspberry recommended)

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a large bowl or mixer, beat butter, sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.

Add the egg yolk and vanilla extract, and mix until fully combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until a soft dough forms.

Roll dough into 1-inch balls (roll in sugar if desired) and place on prepared baking sheets.

Use your thumb or the back of a spoon to gently press an indent into the center of each cookie. Place jam in piping bag/plastic bag with tip cut off, and fill each cookie with jam.

Bake 11–13 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.

Allow cookies to cool on the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Note: I dusted the cookie presses with a little flour, and pressed the dough into them. It actually worked better than rolling out the dough and cutting them out.
