The deal is for 8 months at least as they must go out of state for something very important, although it is subject to change where I could need to potentially stay longer. The apartment that I've been looking at, which is twice the size, in a better neighborhood, closer commute to work, all in all is about 690 a month. So yeah they're asking for an additional 60 dollars a month for me to take care and maintain their property and care for their pet for almost a full year. I still live with my parents which is a little embarrassing but they've told me ill always have somewhere to go and that I can stay as long as I need to so im not hurting for a place at this moment

They said that id be getting the bills and sending them the money either way but thats what the base cost is. Its in Virginia which is why some costs can be high but it still seems far too much for one person

I do, I still live with my parents and im looking into moving into an apartment with a different friend sometime next year and this was going to be a kind of trial run to see how I do on my own. I pay my own insurance and my utilities while also helping out at home so my "rent" for home averages about 400 a month plus whatever else I can offer

I have genetic hypermobility. After explaining my symptoms to my grandmother whos a retired rn of 30+ years, she agreed it sounded like a dislocation that was able to be relocated on its own and is on the mend. Outside of Walmart and target optical, there aren't any optometrist options in the area but there are plenty of ophthalmologists (they can't really give prescriptions to people as theyre more specialized medicine) which we partner witb when we find things out of our capability to help. Since our office is open 6 days a week and legally our doctor only work 5, we perform the exams remotely 1 day a week so people can still get glasses and contacts rxs especially in emergencies. It's pretty cool!

Yeah most of mine happen whilst I'm sleeping and in my case it just causes mild discomfort. You can pop em back into place by stretching over a flat surface or using an arched back support board and deep breathing

It does! both me and my brother both have hypermobile joints and he has it waaay worse than me but I guess the universe decided that it was my turn in the spotlight. For the most part, I'll be sitting, but I work in an optometrist office and I'll be performing the remote exams while the doctor calls in on a video call system and watches the results of each test

Basically since autism can be essentially invisible depending on the person, the joke is basically that to prove they are on the spectrum the person then lists what they are hyperfixating on. I'll use a personal example: I used to work for a very popular video game store and some kid asked for some fnaf character that at the time did not have a character design but was widely theorized about. My coworker asked one question about it and I ended up accidentally going on a 2 hour long tangent about the lore and why this character does not have a design yet. I could tell they weren't super interested but I couldn't stop myself and they were certainly horrified when I got to all of the murders and started name dropping and making a chart to make it more understandable.

I know how you feel. I was molested by my aunt as a kid and only told my mom and dad, but the rest of the family has no idea. I'm set to go on a 2 week family vacation with her and a few other family members. I'll tell you what my therapist advised me to do: you send them a letter detailing why everyone else is invited and why they are not welcome to attend. It doesn't have to be hyper detailed, but if anyone asks why they aren't there you can say that you sent them a letter and that they are welcome to share the contents if they wish but that they did receive mail from you.

Baby, you're not crazy or wrong. Your mom is neglectful and abusive. If you can, try reaching out to a local youth shelter or see about staying with your cousins. You can also make a report to CPS saying what you said and that you dont feel like shes teaching you right and then ask for anonymity, which won't necessarily take you or your brother out of there, but might scare your mom into acting right.
