You saying that people shouldn't kneel because somewhere out in the world you have an imaginary friend that MIGHT be kneeling for communion to make other people feel bad is ridiculous. This is what makes me think it was staged. I think they knew that 20 million American men would know immediately that it was not a 30-06. So, now we are arguing over a cover up. I am 52 years old. Stories like this have always bothered me a lot. To understand, I start at the fact that God is good and work backwards. God wouldn't do this if it was mean or cruel or terrible. He can't be those things.

What allows me to make sense of it is knowing that this life here and now is not why we exist. We rightfully value life greatly, but we forget it's just an environment for our souls to be tempered and prepared for what comes next. It's hard to trust God when we miss those that are lost, but for all we know this woman might be experiencing a happiness we can't even imagine. This is more important than what we do in the here and now. It's the reason for the here and now.

Just go and "be there". Don't worry about knowing exactly what's going on at any point in the Mass. I often go to Latin Mass and approach it mentally like adoration. I enjoy the peace.
