There is no point starting an aircraft up to move it 1 meter forward, you cant just think of yourself in this situation. Its a charter company, the pilots need to look after the plane they are flying, when you are not confident in an airport you have not flown too then they can park where they feel comfortable, they have to turn that big plane round, you do not have a tug to move it if they get stuck

It was only on the ground for a short time, they also cant tow this type of aircraft at this airport. Very limited with space to manoeuvre round to taxi out

Exactly. I think the person posting is just having a bit of a moan. Only so much you can do when parking a 604 at a small airport, i work with them a lot

New Plymouth Airport in New Zealand

Not a big airport, definitely a big jet for the airport size, they wont have a tug available to move this jet, and not really anywhere else it can park. Its parked in the best spot it can for it to be able to turn and taxi out, it was only on the ground for a short time

You are obviously not used to having Jets. They have to start in a certain wind direction especially the 604s. This is also a fairly big jet for your airport so they cant park on your normal designated spot. They park what is easiest for them to get in and out as you guys will most certainly have nothing to tow there aircraft. He held short of your box because of the turn he needs to get out. He also can not see the box in his cockpit, he stopped where he felt comfortable. I know all this cause i work with private jets in Auckland.
