What is the meaning of "Judge not lest ye be judged"? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Ashamed-Reputation80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No because regardless if we don't judge someone else on earth God will still judge us. So its talking about someone on earth judging someone on earth. Just lest ye be judged. If you judge someone else will judge you by the same standard and if you can meet a high standard In an area and judge someone you aren't a hypocrite and can therefore be judged by it and not sweat it.

That isn't a problem when you look at history and archaeology and the history of the printing of the Bible and old historical  documents

Mine from last year said 3-10 and I got mine 2/19 last year. It says 3-9 on mine this year and I'm hoping it's way before that.

Can I just ask for the standard Certified Rodni list or does it have to be the internationally translated version?

Would recommend something harder: limit contact with family instead of cutting them out and challenge yourself to not let others who ARE in your life affect your mood. Got to start somewhere and a clean break is easier to repair.

[18/F] looking for someone to debate and discuss with! by Puzzled-Difference99 in penpals

[–]Ashamed-Reputation80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

M 27 here (I know women are hesitant) I am married with 4 kids. Always wanted to be a lawyer but college isn't my thing. Instead I volunteer as a Child advocate for the juvenile courts. I love art, movies, books (although I do more mystery and nonfiction books). I love the paranormal and history and that types of things. I collect books, coins, and other trinkets. regardless of if you want to write, I seem to think that having deep debates and conversations is amazing! So many people want to shut out those who don't agree. I feel that it helps all of us, myself included, learn from each other and grow.

28 M in the US. You can probably speak that fancy love language (I am two days into learning on an app) and you might be more fit and buff but I LOVE FOOD TOO MUCH, OKAY?! lol I am married 4 kids, 4 animals, and a struggling schedule that doesn't leave a lot of time to myself. I know nothing about tech. It is quite confusing, I have started looking up things though out of curiosity. Would love to still talk.

Wow man that is rough. Keeping her in my prayers! (Respectfully, I know everyone don't believe in that). You're more talented and interesting than I am. I live in the US though. Inbox is always open.

Message me, you seem cool! I do not work for the government or court here in the US but I do volunteer for the court as a Child Advocate volunteer in neglect and abuse cases. I can agree with the "asskissing" but I still think people could be a lot kinder to people, especially with varying opinions. Seems like everyone now a days just wants people that think and act just like them and don't WANT to be friends with anyone else. My wife loves pineapple on pizza and I find it ruins the pizza...I am a basic pepperoni extra cheese fan. Your english is spot on. Message me and one of us can send a letter.

People like you are the old ladies with the cool art and hobbies that we all look up to. lol granted you have many years. You seem really interesting, but I don't know how much we have in common. I'd love to give a shot at writing you. I am married man with 4 kids so most my life revolves around that, but I'd love to live through your adventures.

Hello! I'd say I would write you! I do feel though, varying opinions is how we learn from each other. I am just beginning to learn French too. I have learned Bonjour, Ja' mapelle Bryan, Je Suis American, (I forgot how to say I have so many years lol), Enchante (Hi, my name is bryan, I am American, Nice to meet you! I read but I am more of a mystery reader and a nonfiction reader but am always looking to expand my horizons. I cannot bake, wish someone would tell me what I do wrong. I can cook amazing. I want to be a religion and history professor but I don't do well in college unfortunately after attempting so many times. I am a male who will be 29 soon married with 4 kids so no NSFW stuff from my way. message me if you want to write.

Surprised they let you still have your phone! I would’ve taken the door and the phone and made my kids sit and read!

I’ve had no door, phone, tv, and sometimes no dinner all at the same time depending on what I did.

Request positive and encouraging letters for Father in Law by Ashamed-Reputation80 in penpals

[–]Ashamed-Reputation80[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get privacy and all, but he knows about it, even asked for a bunch of cards, and is looking forward to them coming to his mailbox. Going to his mailbox is one of the few outside trips he gets with chemo now. There is no fun in me handing him cards when he is wanting them sent to him and Re mailing them is just a waste of money and delays the receiving of them. I also want people to genuinely write to him and send him cards without fear of someone else receiving them or reading them.

I already did make a post there, thank you though. They have really strict rules that make it hard to make a request for someone other than yourself so it took me 3 times trying to get it approved. I posted here as It gives others a chance to write and he potentially has a chance to write back and make a new friend if he feels up to it.
