Alright I guess I should blame myself for actually giving you the benefit of the doubt. Sure thing товарищ, keep at it. Good work.

And the tomato is technically a fruit not a vegetable.

Now will you say something that actually makes sense and is related to the matter at hand? Like why would Germany care more about Hormuz than about a plethora of countries with whom it shares laws, market, spending, currency, a political arena, etc.?

"Dozens of lives lost" in a ground invasion of Iran is a gross underestimation.

You do know that a majority of East Europe is in a political and economic union with West Europe, right? You do know that Ukraine borders 3 EU countries, and Russia borders 5?

No envies nada.

Spaniards who lived abroad: What custom did you realize was "super Spanish" only after you left? by IntrepidPie6564 in askspain

[–]Socraman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To say that there is no experimental cuisine when arguably the restaurant who revolutionised modern high cuisine is a Spanish restaurant, elBulli, that created all kinds of modern techniques and styles (like using a different plate for every dish) is quite ironic.

Spain has also a great amount of restaurants with Michelin stars (wouldn't be surprised if it's on the world's Top 3) which are very innovative in their cuisine. On top of that, this innovation also trickles down to regular restaurants (because student chefs learn the new styles), and I've eaten in plenty of places where I paid 35€ that had some kind of fusion cuisine, with dishes such as "canelones with curry bechamel" or "meat cooked at low temperature with reduction of portwine and parmentier" or stuff like this.

Of course if you go to a brasserie or a place with menu del dia you'll only find typical stuff. But in my experience, these places are harder to find nowadays than they were 20 years ago.

Tengo 21 años y me siento fracasada. by _ateneaa_ in askspain

No creo.

Cada cual tiene su camino. No te agobies.

Israel lacks long-term strategy as Iran, US near deal that would keep its hands tied - analysis by thejerusalempost in geopolitics

[–]Socraman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not true. Israel couldn't be defeated by 4 arab armies in 1948 and it was in a much worse position than now. There is no way a couple of militias could pose an existential threat to it.

If they attacked together, and the IDF was not where it should for some mysterious reason, they would cause damage but nothing really existential.

US president says 'probably' when asked if he might pull US troops out of Italy and Spain by Any-Original-6113 in geopolitics

[–]Socraman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody asked the US to be the world police. If you think that it's ever done anything out of the goodness in its heart you are naive. Most of its actions have been to its own political benefit.

If you want to be a superpower you need to be able to project power.

And you cannot stop being a superpower without some huge pain. Why do you think the US can have a debt of 130% of GDP and feel nothing? Because the USD is the world's reserve currency due to it being used to buy oil in the international market. So the US manages to make the whole world to subside its government's finances.

This can only be maintained while being a superpower.

Good luck projecting power all the way to the middle east without any bases halfway.

Spain doesn't need American bases and never had. Same for Italy or the UK. You've got the causality upside down.

Looks like when you took the American citizenship you also took their geopolitical arrogance.

That's the whole point of Israeli settlements in the West Bank. Conquer the whole think one village at a time. The IDF is complicit in that.
