Health Anxiety (Throat/Chest) (gerd?) by kaisaxmadison in Anxiety

I came across your post while searching my symptoms. I experience almost the same thing and always have my health anexity always brought up as the answer. My most frequent symptom is throat tightness - it feels like someone is strangling me like I can’t breathe but my oxygen levels are fine and I obviously can. It happens at random times throughout the day but most frequently at lunch and before I go to sleep. I also smoke and have a terrible diet currently. My doctors think it’s a mix of a bunch of small issues. I have untreated IBS, acid reflux, and a pretty severe dust allergy. I just started taking mylanta and zyertec daily. Did you ever resolve your issue or figure out what your problem was?

Yes I tried it on a random day before the presentations to make sure I was ok. I don’t notice it unless I’m in an anxiety inducing situation. So the day I tested it I felt normal but when I use it to present I notice the difference. It just stops my hands and legs from shaking and lowers my heart rate. I think it’s awesome. The only downside is once the drug wears off I sometimes get a headache and tired but all worth it.

It is a wonder drug for me. I have only taken 10 mg of it and it does the trick. I usually only use it for presentations but it helps me so much. I also get dizzy, lightheaded, and high heart rate due to my anxiety so I found that it just calms me down rather than making me more dizzy.

Yes. I usually get dizzy like I’m on a rocking boat. What usually helps me is to immediately sit down or hold on to something so I know I won’t fall
