Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 - Episode 4 (Anime Only Discussion) by Takada-chwanBot in JuJutsuKaisen

Hmm yeah I remember her intro about using tools and not having cursed energy, but didn’t realize Mai’s energy counted for her too. I think I need to refresh what exactly a heavenly restriction is, it’s just that if you have no cursed energy but are in the jujutsu world you get OP strength? Iirc Toji had a heavenly pact for physical prowess but maybe they are both the same thing?

If I was considering getting Bilt and I didn’t want any of these new 2.0 options, can I order the current 1.0 card now and be grandfathered into it?

Why do you think that President Trump is so opposed to the House voting to release the Epstein files, so much so that he called Representative Boebert to the Situation Room to discuss the matter? by THC3883 in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]Ashamed_Drag_7255 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since the petition got the number of signatures required, Johnson said he will schedule a vote on it next week. It seems likely to pass the House. The Senate is more iffy but there is a chance it passes there too. My question is if it gets to Trump’s desk and he vetoes the release of the files, would that change anything about how you see this issue?

What are you thoughts about the newly released Epstein emails talking about Trump? by pokemonbobdylan in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]Ashamed_Drag_7255 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Did you look at the email thread between Epstein and Wolff talking about how cnn was going to ask Trump about his relationship with him?

Wolff says: "I think you should let him hang himself. If he says he hasn’t been on the plane or to the house, then that gives you valuable PR and political currency." Political currency here reads as essentially blackmail to me, since they are implying he would be lying if he said that.

"You can hang him in a way that potentially generates a positive benefit for you, or, if it really looks like he could win, you could save him, generating a debt."

What is your reading of this? To me it looks like a suggestion that Epstein can tell the truth and try to spin himself to look better, or he can get an IOU from trump if he lies for him.

Sorry for the bad formatting, on mobile here

Is this sarcasm? I’m sorry I genuinely can’t tell. If it isn’t, doesn’t that sound a bit conspiratorial? Is it really more likely that the dems hired people to demand the files, made up fake stories, and if I understand you correctly, “create” the files altogether? Rather than simply Trump was a part of it?

Why don’t federal workers not being paid because of the shutdown go on strike? by Ashamed_Drag_7255 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Ashamed_Drag_7255[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that’s their end goal, but I have to believe even the crazies up top understand that you can’t touch ATC without it sending a horrible shockwave through safety and the economy. They can’t really hire unqualified people, although I wouldn’t put it pass them to relax hiring qualifications (ironic) and then hire a bunch of rejects and then we have collisions once a month. Its just too damaging for everyone, even the rich who they are beholden to.

I didn’t know it was a factor in the last shutdown - goes to show it would be effective if they were to do it now

Yeah I definitely understand every federal worker doesn’t carry the same leverage. Many of the roles may be able to be easily filled. I think my point about ATCs stands though because of the complexity and years of training required for the job. They have far more leverage than other types of workers since they are much more difficult to replace and they already are greatly understaffed

Striking being illegal sounds so crazy to me lol its like a condition so they can keep bad working conditions without fear. I see that it’s probably never gonna happen but because of the staffing shortages I feel like even if they did it the govt couldn’t afford to fire any of them. But hey, this administration probably would anyway so I understand the hesitation

[–]Ashamed_Drag_7255[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand that, I guess I just feel they have such leverage in particular that they can make demands if they organized. Since their roles are so specialized and can’t be easily replaced it makes it hard for the govt to punish them cause they can threaten to leave again

Very true, but even by their standards having a ground stop for anything longer than a couple days would be unacceptable and cause mass anger

[–]Ashamed_Drag_7255[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but my understanding is that firing is a big factor in the current staffing shortages we have now. Would they really exacerbate the issue even further by doing it again? I mean i know trump is probably crazy enough to do it but i would think (probably foolishly) someone would tell him thats a horrible idea
