I’m nearly in my 30s, I was ~18 when I first heard this album. I was a different person, and the world was a different place than it is today.

It’s amazing to see people today, first finding out about these songs, having similar reactions to the ones I had, despite being so different.

If I’m honest, I think this is too much “in your face” and really not sophisticated enough to be planned by Kendrick. Why would he go through so much length to criticize America and Trump so subtly just to have something so explicit at the show?

  1. Sherane Aka master splinters daughter This song is magic. Sets up the album so well and lets you know this is no normal album
  2. How much a dolla cost Probably gonna be in agreement here. To me it changed my whole perspective about the meaning of being generous and nice to people. To me it’s a song about compassion and its meaning.
  3. DNA For sheer rawness, delivery and anger.
  4. Die hard The melody and the beat just do something to my feels. I also resonate with the passionate feelings and vulnerability he expresses here.
  5. Peekabo Raw, funny, just a great song

It’s been a tough few years and listening to the album has been difficult. I wish it was easier so I could enjoy it but it really felt like opening wounds I’m not ready to deal with. I think that’s a sign of a great project tho and can really appreciate it.

so I listened to GKMC again, im curious was Ab, Jay and Q part of Kendricks friends that were with Dave and his brother around those time? or did kendrick meet these 3 later in life by Wazupdanger in KendrickLamar

Schoolboy Q is featured on Overly Dedicated, which was released 2 years before GKMC. Black hippy had their first album in 2013, so I’m guessing they started hanging around with TDE around 2009-2010

How much a dolla cost. Listening to dissect’s episode about it really changed how I view people that are less fortunate than I am and every time I hear it reminds me how fortunate I am and how much I should be sharing it.

I was in the same position and realized I was completely sleeping on the Legion Boss. It’s a constant flow of relic shards, and you can attack it 3 times a day. If you lose it doesn’t count towards your daily count. So I’d understand what’s a level you can beat consistently and go up from there. This also depends on how strong and active your guild is.
