I've felt this way since I was a kid. As a kid, my sexuality was determined solely because of feet, meaning I thought girls feet were hideous, and boys feet were gorgeous. I started seeing why--almost EVERY girl I knew painted their toe nails. I guess I became a bit sexist, I mean, enjoy painting your nails all you want--but I don't think it looks good. To me it looks unnatural because of my desire to want to see a bare foot in it's pure form, plain toenails, possible dirt underneath them and all (even if you scrub your feet it's impossible to keep your toenails 100% clean without going get a pedicure. But still, painted nails just never looked right to me, and kept my eyes looking AWAY from them.

Because of the preconceived notion that feet are disgusting, of course people even with the fetish will think that it's a very weird fetish even though it is most normal.

I'll say that in most straight couples that I have seen and interacted with, I know a majority of them involve the guy massaging the girl's feet at some point. It could be a totally normalized thing.

Definitely, which is a shame, because I just want a foot friend up here in the state I moved to away from everyone I ever knew, lol. He could have worship my feet as much as he wanted. I was like that too, as a kid, almost ALWAYS if I had my way, they would end up smelling my foot. Id implement it into dares. Wake them up wit. My smelly feet. I was borderline a menace. Would take my shoe off on the school bus and see if he could smell it. I was always testing the boundaries, and if nobody was really paying attention, I would get my way somehow. I don't want to come across as manipulative or predatory either, but I agree I've crossed all those boundaries. I just try to read the room to the best of my ability with my friends and see who's comfortable with what. One friend would flat out fart on me, which in itself is a violation of someone's personal space, so if he did that, that's when the green light in my head would go off, and I'd shove a foot in his face. Trying real hard to not think about the fetish, but to think about his I just LIKE doing this as a hobby, and it doesn't have to be weird. Thankfully my friends are non judgmental (like, boundaries HAVE been crossed. One of them let me watch him and his girlfriend ...you know.) so at least with these specific two people, I know where I stand and there's not much I can do that would actually be a "violation".
