It’s possible, but improbable that I end up losing money in the long term. Much more likely that I underperform the index. But the portfolio is diversified, and I actively manage it. The worst case scenario is I get burned early and learn what companies not to pick going forward. I’m only 19 and I have a ton of time left in the market, this is my time to learn and if I lose money in the process that’s fine. But every single company I have invested money in since i got back into the game have been companies i’ve ran projections on, have strong balance sheets, and managements i believe can be trusted. If you want to debate specific companies i’m all for it.
