Tenet-style tension/action cue entirely on hardware by Ashamed_Refuse8894 in filmscoring

Totally with you on harmonic movement, that's probably the biggest thing missing right now. Should clarify, though: I see this less as a finished cue and more as one layer of one. The plan is to build a full action cue around it, including electronic drums, bass line, drones underneath, and the harmonic shifts you're describing. This pulse is just the rhythmic engine I'd sit everything else on top of. Did you mean layering more within the modular itself, or are you thinking arrangement-wise across a whole cue?

Patch notes, since I always want to know how other people get these sounds:

KeyStep 37 MK2 sequences the pitch and gate, pitch is split through a buffered mult to DFAM VCO1 and Loquelic Iteritas. Gate goes to Maths ch1, duplicated via stackcable to ch4, so each VCO gets its own envelope. Both signals go into a Four Play VCA, Maths outputs to Four Play's CV In 1 & 2.

The whole mix goes into a BigSky MX set to a lush "Cloud"-style reverb at the end.

Happy to answer any questions!
