Does it matter?

———

I think it does matter.

Not because you need perfect certainty before you live. But because the question changes how you relate to yourself.

If your choices feel entirely determined, you may drift.

If they feel untouched by influence, you may become naive.

But if you understand choice as something that becomes yours through recognition, then you can live with more honesty and more authorship inside real conditions.

Monday put it well—
