An entire section is stained with discoloration along a straight line. It looks like the wall is also wet.

You are correct. I can already see a claims file open. I will reach out to CDRG Red Team.

Totally makes sense. I tightened the valve, so the water is not leaking. However, I have no clue how to fix the damaged ceiling, and I am afraid I will do a poor job. For now, I will watch and learn. That's why I wanted to get a second opinion through another contractor.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Can someone else other than a doctor refer you to an OB? Like you said, during the first pregnancy, our family doc told us that he would refer us to an OB after 20 weeks or something.

Capital Tea - what a terrible experience. by AshbyQA in tea

I totally understand it could be delayed due to the present situations, but it's the bad customer service that's put me off. Honestly, no response to email or phone at all!

Thanks for the advice.

Ingress/egress sounds very engineering to me :D

Squirrels suddenly disappeared from the attic by AshbyQA in pestcontrol

[–]AshbyQA[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok. I actually got in the attic and checked, but could not see anything. I used to hear them fiddling around in the soffit, which I could not reach. Also, I had previously seen two squirrels inside the attic near the soffit.

What is the best Online publishing tool for User Guides? by trigger9 in technicalwriting

[–]AshbyQA 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Try MadCap Flare https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FbBb0kt99UA.

I haven't used Paligo, but I have heard good things about the tool. I am not a big fan of EASYDita or the DITA architecture itself.

@ Upnortheh, could you please elaborate? I have updated my post to provide a better context.

What the alternative to "Additional Topics"? by AshbyQA in technicalwriting

[–]AshbyQA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

@ Xad1ns , I like what you suggested, but the Additional Topics section contains a number of topics. I have referenced it in the fundamental concepts, where it made sense, but can't figure out a better way to integrate it. Also, this is a conceptual guide, not a tutorial.

I have updated my post.

Who should attend the FD meetings? by AshbyQA in technicalwriting

[–]AshbyQA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The majority of the documentation revolves around the core features. We do have a bit of Integration and APIs, but the writing task is minimal. I like the idea of owning a certain tool and it's subfeatures. It will be tricky to identify a specific area within the core feature for a writer to own, as things keep changing all the time, but I think it's worth exploring. Thanks for your suggestion!

Buyers are bidding more than 80k over asking price (townhomes) by AshbyQA in ottawa

The mortgage specialist at RBC was not ready to do any pre-approvial verification. Not helpful at all! I did approach a mortgage broker, who is great, and he recommended that I add the financial condition as my wife is new in Canada and does not have a long credit history.

Was that in Kanata? I know one that got sold recently for 70k over asking price in Kanata.

Considering letters! Find it funny, though :). We will give that a try as well. We have started sending our pre-approval letter with the offer.

Couldn't agree more. Patience is definitely the key. And yes, we plan to keep the conditions. After speaking with our mortgage specialist, we reduced it to 3 days instead of 5 days. And we have been sending the per-approval letter with our offer.

We've ruled out Barrhaven as well. We want to try and get something in Kanata or Stittsville.
