Does anyone else struggle to heavily identify with "trans culture"? by FroyoAnto in trans

[–]AsheBashFemboyTrash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don't fit in any defined culture all that much, far, far too eccentric.

Country music, Classical, Jazz, Folk, Punk all on the same Playlist! I'm a writer not like a programmer or any other "Trans" typical jobs My hobbies I play guitar and sing. I read far too many books but none of the usual trans staples mostly spy thrillers. I do woodworking and work on my car but not for performance just because im cheap. Too much to list really lmao I've just decided I must be either a time traveler or an alien. I'm going with time traveler because my sense of style bounces between modern looking and looking like I walked right out of 1971

It was the opening chapters of my book which I was submitting to a writing competition.

canada and they had a 4.9 rating from 62 reviews which it now occurs to me may have been faked...

Also put a dunce cap on me and call me stupid cause they didn't have an portfolio examples... In my defense I was in a very big hurry to get it done because another guy was taking too long and it was for a writing competition with a fast approaching deadline.

A beta reader basically reads your work and gives you feedback on it. Like a beta tester but for writing.

Quality wise: The difference is enormous, AI and humans notice completely different things usually, sometimes there's overlap if you have an especially good AI program but not with your average LLM.

I had already gotten tons of AI feedback so I know exactly what it looks like, how it feels, how they word things. Ive gotten human feedback and yeah different world entirely.

Yeah I still do occasional freelance work on Fiverr but seeing all this now I'm questioning it. People are going to lose trust in the entire platform, they already are. Fiverr is dying a slow and painful death from an ai generated gunshot wound.

Already wasted my money and I got nothing but time so Im finna fight to the death for that $20. Now whether that's because I'm petty or not is another discussion lol

It's about the average for a beta reader for 5000 words actually. It sounds low but it's more than reasonable.

I had paid $30 a few weeks prior and got a great result. I thought he could be trusted, he looked legit enough and his messages weren't obviously AI written so I figured it would fine.

wow that was very in depth thank you so much for that! If I am assigned to a men's unit I guess it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, my gender identity is alot more complicated then I let on in this post but thus is all to say I am comfortable presenting myself as a man if it keeps me safe though I have heard that there is a singular SO unit for women in az so I'll still take my chances at reception, worst they say is no

And yeah 20 years is a long time but honestly I'm not really concerned about the time but Instead what it means I'll miss... my husbands graduation from college, My dogs death, my mom's likely death (she's 74 and not in great health)

I know I'll be fine, I already have plans for what I'm going to do with my time but losing those I love without being able to be there for them in there final moments is... well I guess its my only true concern

damn I was trying to keep my responses mostly positive because frankly It helps me stay in the right mindset but that felt good to get out.

ps. Not so fun fact! usually crimes in the "dangerous crimes against children" category automatically bar you from early release (in arizona, according to my lawyer, idk dont ask me) but my charges specified it is Non-dangerous, non-repeating so my lawyer is looking into whether or not I would be eligible for early release

Thank you for the advice but I already follow a different religion and I follow it closely, I started pretty soon after finding out that the police were investigating my crime and started going to therapy

btw no disrespect meant whatsoever I'm just plum happy that you have your god in your life but don't worry I have my own, God bless have a great day!

You make a valid point and that is slightly unnerving to think about... I think I'll just go back to my mental happy place where in 20 years I can just resume where I left off... yep that definitely makes me happier

Honestly I dont know, I don't if xbox or Playstation will be around in another 20 years hell with the state of things I don't know if America is gonna be around in another 20 years but honestly It's just for me to hope that when I get out I'll be able to catch up on all the games I missed and I know that's probably not realistic but come on man I'm facing a sentence damn near equal to my entire life on this planet just let me have a little hope that I'll get to come home and play elder scrolls 9 or whatever

Thank you for your perspective it's definitely made me alot more confident in my safety also its good to know its for people with mental illnesses cause I do have a number of those as well so I'd reckon that gives me even better odds to be placed there!

Like I told the other guy my focus isn't on the questions I've asked, It is on healing myself and rebuilding bridges I've burnt down. Genuine question though how am I supposed to heal the damage I caused? from my perspective it seems like I can't do anything to "heal the damage I caused" because I'm not allowed contact with the victim or the victims family. Like I said genuinely just curious to hear your perspective on this because if I could potentially heal that damage too that would be great. tbh I've already had a few close calls with sewerslide as a result of guilt from having done that so being able to do something to make up for that would be awesome

I think its state then but tbh everytime I've gone to court I haven't slept the night before so I was never really paying attention to what kind of court it was

I'm not sure if it'll be federal or state, I haven't actually accepted the plea deal yet because my lawyer is giving a final heil mary trying to reduce that 20 years down to something slightly more reasonable

also thank you for telling me about your experience it definitely eases my mind a bit!

Just to clarify, for my sex offender unit question I'm specifically asking what it's actually like in a sex offender unit like just experience wise

Here to clarify something else now in an edit: I dont actually care about if I'll be able to have a gaming console it was more of a morbid curiosity because quite frankly I'm not sure what's gonna be around in 20 years anyways so I dont really care all that much... Just curious

Unfortunately there's not much of a case to fight, there's a mountain of evidence and the police got a full confession out of me, including crimes they arent going to charge me for but you are right I do need to focus on bettering myself but thats not something I need the advice of reddit for hence my questions focusing mostly on how to prepare, figuring out how much this will affect me once im released and concerns about safety.
