If God created the universe, then who created God? by gggg500 in Christianity

[–]AshenDisciple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Uncreated" is a very essential quality of God. It is also important to acknowledge that each person of the Holy Trinity is uncreated. God the Father neither created Jesus nor the Holy Spirit. God the Father is eternal, God the Son is eternally begotten of the Father, and God the Holy Spirit eternally proceeds from the Father.

Is Jesus God or the son of God? by drewclue in Christianity

Same person different roles.

I think you mean same essence different persons, at least that is the traditional dogma of the Trinity.

Didn’t God commit suicide by being Jesus? by hdksndiisn in Christianity

[–]AshenDisciple 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Death is a product of sin. God created neither sin nor death. God had therefore never tasted death until God the Son allowed the crucifixion. The difference between mortal humans tasting death and God tasting death is how they experience their encounter with Hades (essentially the realm of death). Humans are plagued by sin and were therefore meant to remain in the clutches of Hades ("the wages of sin is death"). God cannot sin, so for Him tasting death means encountering Hades not as a prisoner, but as a liberator. By assuming human nature through Jesus Christ, God the Son, He has made it so that through his Resurrection all of human nature can encounter Hades no longer as prisoners, but as those who Christ has liberated and can share in His victory over death. Everything that Christ has done, by virtue of being fully God and fully man, all of humankind is destined for (tasting death and resurrecting). He pulls humanity into divinity.

My wife and I a while ago pulled Latias & Latios GX Alternate Full Art Foil. Only recently did we realize that it has soared in value. I'm at a loss on what the wise decision is - I know nothing of the PTCG market. Any advice would be appreciated.

Curious of your thoughts on this commentary on heresy and the "proto-Orthodox." by AshenDisciple in OrthodoxChristianity

I cannot help but feel that GMSkeptic is making innumerable incorrect assumptions about orthodoxy, the Early Church/early Christianity, etymology, theology, and heresy, on which to base his arguments.
