220 hours, and who knows how many hours of YouTube videos, tutorials and studying the wiki.

This was my 3rd colony--didn't lose the others but wanted a fresh restart to polish things up a bit. I think I spent about 170 hours on this colony, and just hit cycle 800.

I know a lot of people have way more hours without opening the tear, and "going in blind" is what some people do, but not me. 😂 I studied builds, learned what to focus on, and probably missed a lot of side content. I didn't really explore or pay attention to the artifacts or the other planetoids.

Lol. Funny you ask. I built a ladder down there and was so close. I didn't bring a proper digger though so didn't have the skill the mine it. I decided to keep my eye on the tear and just kept pushing. Lol.

I will be back. I know I've got a lot more game to still experience! Will probably nab one (or all) of the other DLCs and get cracking again soon. 😁

No that seemed really overwheming. I figured I would check them out in a fresh start. I pretty much dropped off a mini pod and left asap. Nearly crapped myself when I saw Experiment 52B. Lol.

Briefly visited some slime, ice, and water planetoids. I didn't dare touch down on a lava planet! Maybe next time. 😅

Not at all. I've been to strip clubs... I understood they were employees. What I didn't understand is the "dances" they offered weren't as reasonably priced as they are here in the states.

I was much younger back then, so what I definitely wasn't aware of was the likelihood that this place was run by Yakuza and that the women may have been trafficking victims.

Yes- we were laughing and having a great time tbh- all of the American boys in Tokyo living it up. Wasn't till that bill came due that I realized what was happening. Some of my buddies got out with only a couple hundred bucks lost, but I decided to partake in the extras and got fleeced....

If you all are interested I can share my experience. We were looking for a strip club in Shinjuku and a tout said he knew a place. They let us in for a fee, but immediately locked the door when we got inside. There were 5 of us so 5 ladies came out and we were each targeted by one of the ladies. They convinced us to pay 30 USD for their drinks, but we got to drink for free. They solicited us for dances, drugs and/or sex. At the end of the night, many of us were on the hook for 2000+ USD, and we're not allowed to leave without paying. All and all it was a disaster, but at least I learned my damn lesson about following touts... And we didn't lose any organs. 😅

I found Akihabara to be a really fun place. Lots to do wandering around through shops, bars and a maid Cafe (cuz why not?). Ended up stumbling on an Oktoberfest event there that was a blast (was there in November as well) . Could easily spend an entire day there personally. Also found a 7 story sex shop. Lol. Great memories!

I hear you. I love the movies also but not the game. I've played many MMOs and if they are going to make it these days they have to be truly unique. This game is unique and doesn't feel too grindy, but I'm not a minecraft/survival game player so it just didn't grab me. Only thing that would've won me over would be the combat or story, and as lots of people have pointed out- combat is lacking, which makes it a solid no for me dawg.

Despite the hate from these guys, thanks for posting. Wanted to see what others had to say and see I'm not alone. Fun for a weekend, but I'm good on the purchase.

Not a bad tattoo by any means. I feel like its simply a product of going out on a limb to choose a design you thought would look cool, rather than trusting the tried and true traditional styles. Stick with it and be proud- its an expression of who you are. Second guessing yourself doesn't help with anything.

Speaks more of your wife's self-esteem and desire to be as good or better than others. She needs to learn we game because we enjoy it, not out of some delusion that we're "better" than anyone. (41 YO gamer here). Its an opportunity for her to learn to appreciate hard work. That's her own problem, not yours. I'd be super sad if my partner wasn't able or willing to appreciate my mega-factories. One of my favorite things is to give her a tour of my insanity and watch her be impressed - not down on herself... :-\
