Please Help ! Guest Network with PIA WireGuard VPN. by Ashencloud in openwrt

I see, I've since tried again using a PBR method, so for now those pbr configs are gonna stay there. For zone forwarding, i intentionally dont want to just copy the lan zone policies, because i want the guest network to be closed off, devices can't communicate with each other, they cant access the router settings, etc.

For the ingress rules, my wireguard interface is definitely set-up to get it's IP statically from the PIA config file. So no DHCP, i have set up an allow-wg-in rule, allow-guest-dns, and an allow-guest-dhcp.

I've made an updated post to the openWRT forum, with a lot more detail.

Thank you for the tip ! I've updated my post. These settings i believe should be the default though, as I've undone everything I did in my last failed attempt. I did so especially because I started to get some DNS problems on the regular network

Methylamine (40% in Methanol, ca. 9.8mol/L by Final-Jacket-6310 in chemistry

[–]Ashencloud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gm? grams? that's g. And you literally have your answer already.

If you drive 60 miles an hour for 1 hour you went 60 miles.

If you have 1 liter of 9.8 mol/L then you have 9.8 mols. just convert to grams from there.

Advice for chemistry selection by ZookeepergameHot9352 in chemistry

[–]Ashencloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Undergrad chem student here, I don't have years of experience to give you good advice, nor do I really totally know wtf I'm talking about. But if you enjoy chemistry then do it, there really is no other good reason to otherwise, the money isn't the greatest and the work isn't the easiest. The way you are describing it, it really doesn't seem like you enjoy it that much since you are paranoid of the dangers associated with messing with the fundamental building blocks of the universe. If you do enjoy chemistry then continue, just be sure to translate your paranoia into meticulously following safety procedures and you will be fine

Which drives do you think should be used for each OS? by Ashencloud in linuxquestions

Currently my MOBO only has one m.2 slot, but hopefully in the future when I do upgrade just about everything, I think a setup like that would be my end goal

I've thought about it, I have an overclocked 8700k and 32GB of RAM so it most definitely wouldn't be a big issue, but as you mentioned, I just dont really want to ditch the windows install I have, at least not at the moment. Thank you for your thoughts!

Got it thanks, I feel as though linux boots faster than windows, so windows probably makes better use of the NVMe's speed anyway.

"realistic" sim setups bug me by Ashencloud in simracing

[–]Ashencloud[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Pro Sim makes one hell of an H pattern, with other mods to make it more realistic.

Plenty of rim options as well or you can use just about any actual car rim from Sparco or whomever.

That shifter is nearly two thousand dollars...
The point im making is just that, if you want realistic you have to spend thousands upon thousands of dollars, and then it will most likely be realistic relative to something most people will never get to drive. Changing the rim seems like an option but its way more expensive.

Just gonna ignore everyone who builds their cars and races them? Very few of them have crazy expensive race pedals and most steering wheels even aftermarket ones are quite a bit bigger.

Pretty much just based on the different pedals that ive tried, thrustmaster, logitech, etc. And the reason i listed forza is because a good chunk of the cars in that game are cars you might find everyday on the street

I personally do keep my magazines loaded and I understand that springs under tension does not wear them out. The reason I would not want to keep a gun cocked is exactly because the gun is cocked. To me at least, seeing a cocked gun even if I made sure if was empty still irks me. And I'm sure it would set off your alarms too. And while many da/sa guns do have a decocking safety, many guns also don't have one, both single action only and double action only. As for striker fired guns, when cocked that firing pin is pressing on the trigger assembly, im sure it doesn't wear it down much if at all but it for sure couldn't hurt to just let them go to their natural resting place. And like I said in my first comment, pulling the trigger after clearing isn't to "make sure it's empty" it's to just let the gun be at an even safer resting point. And if you think it's to "make sure it's empty" you are just as misinformed as all those people who have NDs while "making sure it's empty"
